Hey y’all. Welcome to Meet the McBes.
This is the very last episode as Meet the McBes.

We’re going to be talking about our Vegas trip. We went out to NFR as a family this past week. We’re also going to be giving you updates on dad, how he’s doing, give you our holiday plans, and then my personal New Year’s resolutions, as well as giving you some more insights into what the rebrand’s going to look like in the future.

So, saddle up and let’s get down and dirty with it.

Well, here we are. The very last episode as Meet the MC Bees. We just got back from Vegas from NFR. Was an incredible time out there as always. We love it so much.

We actually went out there and filmed for season 3. So, it was a little bit different than our usual NFR experience. Um, you know, we got to stop by Cowboy Christmas, got to go to the rodeo, got to do some pretty neat things, but we were on a pretty tight schedule.

Kept us pretty slammed and I’m looking forward to showcasing that in season 3 of the McB dynasty. There was a lot of fun events that happened out there at the NFR in Vegas and some other surprising events as well. So stay tuned for that.

You know, NFR for me is probably my favorite trade show event of the entire year. If you haven’t been to Cowboy Christmas, it is absolutely incredible.

There are hundreds and hundreds of booths showcasing western gear, western merch, just anything and everything in the western world. And for anyone that isn’t even involved in rodeo or cowboying, highly suggest you go out to Vegas and experience what it’s like whenever 30,000 cowboys descend upon the city and take over the city for the weekend—or actually for a couple weeks.

It is such a fun experience and uh I don’t think any of us left with money in our pockets.

In fact, Braden, Jesse, and Cole spent a little too much time at the blackjack table, and not a single one of them made it out positive.

Actually, I think on this trip, we went out there with a bunch of friends, too. I think there was a total of 10 or 11 of us, and not a single person made out positive uh after the casinos.

Myself, I don’t gamble. I never have gambled. I don’t even know how to play blackjack.

Reason being is I lose money easy enough in business. I don’t need to gamble to lose it even quicker. So, that is my line of thinking towards gambling.

For those of you that are good at it, all the respect. And uh yeah, I just—I don’t have that lucky horseshoe in my pocket, so I stay away from gambling.

Um, talked to dad actually a couple different times here over the last week. He’s given us some calls. He’s doing all right.

Um he’s uh made some friends up there at the prison camp. He’s been working out, been trying to eat as healthy as he can based on the limited options of food up there, but he seems to be in a little better spirits.

And uh really appreciate all of you that are checking in, leaving your messages of support for him.

Um, I don’t have a mailing address yet. I have gotten so many DMs about where can you mail letters, where can you send things to my dad. I don’t have that yet.

I’m hoping to have that this week and whenever I do, I will post it across our social media platform so you guys get to see that and have a chance to write him a letter.

I know it would mean the world to him and would really pick him up at a time where uh you know he’s he’s feeling pretty down.

Um, obviously given the circumstances, uh, he is allowed to email us, you know, once a day and we talk to him for about 15 minutes a day.

Uh, he only has one phone call generally that he can make a day. So, he’ll change it up between Jesse, Cole, Braden, myself.

But, um, the last time I talked to him would have been two days ago. And he’s doing good, uh, for us here.

Um, you know, just trying to get these businesses running straight. Really focused in on the car washes, trying to get them up and profitable across the board.

They are doing well and this is our busy season. So, knock on wood, we are able to get them consistently profitable through this winter.

Um, that is like ultimate goal number one, get the car washes self-sustaining. And I think that we’re going to do it by committee.

Like I talked about in the last podcast, it’s going to take all of us. Um, but we’re going to get there.

Holiday plans.

So, for myself, I am going to be spending quite a bit of time in Texas. We have a break from filming. We’re not going to be filming for two and a half weeks. This is the longest break we have had in months.

It has been a grind. Obviously, filming is a full-time job whenever we are in season. And then we also have our full-time jobs outside of filming. And it is a tough schedule to balance.

Especially given the circumstances of this time period with everything going on with my dad, with everything going on with the businesses.

We are in a pressure cooker the likes of which I have never felt. I’ve thought we’ve been in a pressure cooker the last three years. Nothing has compared to the last two months. Nothing.

No time in my life has compared to the last two months of the pressure cooker we have been under.

So, everyone’s running pretty ragged right now. Everyone in the family—our immune systems are compromised. We’re all sick as dogs.

Um, just traveling from Vegas, I think every single person picked up a sinus infection from going out there. So, we’re struggling right now.

This break’s going to be well needed. The holiday break is going to be really nice.

And I am going to do my best to keep my phone put up for the entirety of the break. Uh, unless someone is dying or um someone is is in dire need of a phone call, I do not plan on returning any calls or texts.

Um, so I apologize if you’ve reached out to me and I haven’t responded. Things have been a little bit uh busy around here.

So, it is um—you know, it’s it’s a tall task to take on, but it’s something that I felt going into season 3. Again, I’ve said it multiple times on this podcast.

When we got into the reality TV world, the one thing we said we’d do was showcase all of our life—the good, the bad, and everything in between.

And I felt like it would be doing a disservice to the people that support us, to reality TV in general, if we waited to film season 3.

Because we had that option, waiting to film season 3 until the start of the new year.

And I looked at our schedule, obviously knowing what dad was going through, what this fall was going to encompass, us looking at selling our headquarters—like doing so many crazy big things.

All of the action was happening this fall.

And if we didn’t start filming until the start of the new year, everything would have been in the past in the rear view.

Not saying we’d have been completely out of the woods or over all of our problems, but we would have had a major chunk of them knocked out by then.

And I just felt like that isn’t authentic to who we are and that isn’t authentic to what our show is and how we’ve really opened up the doors to our personal lives, our professional lives to all of America.

And the only way we’re going to be able to capture what really happens in our family, in our businesses, is to showcase the most hectic time of our lives.

The most intense pressure cooker we’ve ever been under—which has been this fall, in November, December.

And so, we’ve been filming the entire time.

So, I hope that there is—that you guys as viewers appreciate that.

Not that I expect a pat on the back for that by any means, but I just hope when you’re watching season 3 next year, you understand that we had the opportunity to not showcase all of this that is happening within our lives.

We could have pushed back filming season 3 to the start of the new year.

And we said, “No, bring it on.”

Like, we want to make sure that we are up and filming during this time period because I’ve said it before—this is a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

Not in a good way, but it’s a once-in-a-lifetime experience.

And I’d be doing a disservice to the authenticity of our show if we did not showcase what we’re going through.

So, season 3 is going to be a wild ride.

You guys will get to see us in some of our highest highs with the grandbabies, and some of the lowest lows—obviously, given the circumstances.

So, saddle up for season 3.

We’ve been wearing Schaefer Outfitters since long before they were our sponsors.

In fact, I’ve had this vest for about five years now, and we’re excited to spread the word with our fans.

The feedback that we’ve gotten so far from folks that have tried them out is that the clothing was even nicer out of the box than what they expected from the website and the photos.

So, give them a look.

Again, that’s code MCB during checkout for 15% off at schaeferoutfitter.com.

I don’t know if I’d say I’m excited for it.

I would just say that you will be getting an authentic front-row seat to our lives and what this period of time has encompassed—and it’s encompassed a lot.

So, um, as far as what this podcast looks like moving forward—first of all, thank you so much for all of the comments regarding the rebrand.

I went through every single one.

Actually had our editor break it down in a Word document and send me every single comment we have had across all social media platforms so I could take the time and scan it.

And I read through it on the way back from Vegas.

There are so many good comments, so many supportive comments, so many things that I didn’t realize that you guys valued.

To be honest, the amount of people that said, “We love how you guys get up here and talk casually rather than have a structured podcast,” that was interesting to me.

Because for me, sitting up here rambling about our life events, I’ve always thought, “Okay, this has to be so freaking boring for anyone listening.”

But hearing what you guys are saying in the comments about liking the fact that we’re up here talking so casually, I think there’s a balance that we can find.

Between a structured podcast—with recurring segments, themes, and focused topics—and also having a period of time where we just shoot from the hip.

Casual conversation.

Talking about what’s happening around the farm, what’s happening in our personal lives, with really no specific agenda in mind.

Just speaking from what’s in our hearts, what’s on our mind.

And again, that idea wouldn’t have happened if it wasn’t for you guys commenting.

So thank you so much for that.

We are building out our new podcast studio.

And by our new podcast studio, I mean the basement of my house—which is unfinished.

That is where we’re going to be recording the studio.

It’s going to look a little different.

We already have the vision board in mind for what that studio will look like.

It’s going to be a lot more comfortable. We’re going to have couches.

You’re welcome, Cole.

And it’s going to have a lot more homey vibe than necessarily this studio—with a table, with us hunched over a stool.

So, I’m hoping that it’ll allow us to feel more comfortable.

Anyone we have on, including my brothers, my family—allow us to feel more relaxed.

I would assume that’s going to take three to four weeks to build out.

So, the next couple podcasts might be from my living room couch.

In fact, most likely will be from my living room couch.

It’s not going to be the prettiest of studios to begin with, but I promise you—we will get there.

I am huge on aesthetics, so I want a studio that looks good.

So, it’s going to bother me that the first podcast of More Than McB is going to be done from a couch in a non-studio version.

But we’ll see how it turns out. I think it’ll end up being all right.

I’m excited for it.

Ally and I already have started putting together topics for what we’re going to launch More Than McB about.

And I think the very first podcast we’re going to do, we’re going to dive into Ally and I’s connection.

How we have bonded on a much deeper level than just physical attraction.

Obviously, physical attraction is there, but there is so much more depth to what led to the success of our relationship and how things have been going so far.

And I believe that is going to be what we cover in More Than McB.

So, I’m excited to hop on with her.

Y’all will get to see her expanding in long form.

She’s never done any podcasts other than the one we did in Vegas with Like a Farmer, which will be released, I believe, in early to mid-January.

That was her first podcast.

So, what you see on her social media is short-form content—hardly any speaking whatsoever.

And I’m excited to be able to showcase to the world how intelligent she is, how well spoken she is.

She’s going to blow me out of the water.

When it comes to intelligence and being well-versed in public speaking, I trip all over myself.

I use ums and, you know, nonstop.

And she can talk for hours and hours on end without ever breaking stride, without ever using a filler word.

So yeah, I’m excited about it.

And y’all get to see how well our chemistry is together and really what made us hit it off so quickly.

I know that we have moved so fast in our relationship, and I’ve seen some comments about how this one must just be for the show, must be for social media—or that I am love bombing.

I hate that term, by the way.

That’s, in my opinion, a BS made-up term.

What do you mean that you’re nice to someone to begin a relationship and yet that’s considered love bombing?

No.

How about that’s just being a good person?

And yeah, I don’t know.

I feel like there’s a lot of people out there today that label someone as a love bomber and say it’s some sort of tactic.

Maybe for the very, very small percentage of people that are complete narcissists.

But for other people, that’s just being a good person and being excited about a fresh relationship.

Obviously, there is a honeymoon period, and things are not always going to be rainbows and butterflies in a relationship.

But I hate the term love bombing.

So please refrain from using that in any comments regarding mine and Ally’s relationship.

I can assure you that is not the case.

And if anything, we started off our relationship literally from day one filming reality TV.

You want to talk about putting a strain and stress on a relationship that very, very few understand.

Filming a reality show—you are talking about the worst problems, having to relive the worst problems over and over and over again.

So to put that on the start of a relationship and still be able to have a very strong connection and continue to build that connection while filming reality TV—that is not love bombing, folks.

That is a relationship built on solid communication and very, very good chemistry.

So, apologize for that rant there.

Anyways, I’m excited.

I hope you all have a great holiday season.

We’ll be seeing you soon again.

It won’t be the new studio just yet, but I’m hoping to have that done soon.

I’ll be excited to not be by myself on here for the next podcast.

Excited for y’all to tune in to More Than McB.

And we’ll see you right after the holidays.

Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. 🎄✨
