Whats Going on at Skinwalker Ranch?

Hello friends, Steve Stockton here with you. Welcome to our latest video. In this episode, we’re going to be taking a look at the mysterious Skinw Walker Ranch. Join me. Let’s take a walk and see. Now, there are some places much stranger than fiction. Some places that will leave you feeling as if you’re going crazy because something this strange couldn’t possibly be real. Or could it? Baffling scientific experts and terrifying even the most cynical and skeptical onlookers. That is what we’re going to explore in this episode. The mysterious Skinwalker Ranch located in Utah. Utah is known for its beautiful parks, canyons, and trails. Rich and breathtaking, beautiful crimson colored natural land formations. The most picturesque landscapes that would make your heart leap out of your chest and be in complete awe of its western beauty.
Lots of untouched sacred land. It’s home to many tribal nations. The whole state holds a little bit of lovely mystery waiting to be explored, but none as mysterious as the infamously known Skinwalker Ranch. Let’s spiral in, shall we?
Skinwalker Ranch is a very large area of land in the Fort Chesn Utah region that people have reported to have strange accounts of high radiation levels, UFO sightings, possible government experiments, aliens, cattle mutilations, Sasquatch and Dog Man sightings, a whole host of paranormal activity, and the most talked about one is the myth of a curse put on the land that turns men into bloodthirsty creatures of the night.
Skinwalker Ranch is located on over 500 acres in the northern Utah region known as the Uenta Basin. The Uza Basin is a geologic structural basin in the northeast corner of Utah and is bounded to the north by the Uenta mountains, on the south by the Tavaputs Plateau, on the west by the Wasatch Range and on the east by the elevated terrain that separates it from Colorado.
The ranch appears from a distance to be a quite normallook farm. But I suppose that sometimes things aren’t always as they seem, are they? When you start to get into closer proximity, these abnormal sightings seem to emerge with frightening regularity.
The question here is though, how does this seemingly ordinary plot of land become what some have called the epicenter of these strange occurrences?
After all, there’s usually a reason for something. Sometimes though, some things just cannot be explained. We think that’s what bothers us humans the most when we cannot explain something with logic when there is no rational or scientific explanation. It baffles the human mind to think that there are things out of the norm that can indeed happen and perhaps there are things that occur in the world that we might never fully understand. That’s the fascinating part about it all though, isn’t it? Not necessarily a search for answers, but a search for the questions. Because asking the right questions, that’s what the exploring, the wondering, the conquest for the truth is all about. It’s both exciting and frightening at the same time. The things we could find, though, we should tread carefully as some things might not want to be found. And if we do find them, will we too be in danger?
Anyway, back to our story. To really dive deep and to explore this question, we must first learn the history that surrounds this ranch. The ranch itself dates back to the times when the Ute and Navajo Native American tribes occupy the area around present day Skinwalker Ranch.
We are told that these two tribes met near the area of the ranch and their relationship was instantly full of hatred and conflict. The Navajo, said at that time to be a quite aggressive tribe, enslaved many members of the Ute tribe. Allegedly, the Utes having their people enslaved for so long. And this hatred toward the Navajo built up so great, eventually the Utes placed a curse over the land, which is now, you guessed it, right where the skinwalker ranch is. Then, not to be outdone, the Navajo did a reversal curse on the Ute.
So, what is a skinwalker exactly? Well, we found in our research that different tribes have different suggestions on what exactly a skinw walker is.
To put it simply, the skinwalker is an ancient native legend that takes on various forms across different tribes.
In the lore of the Navajo or the Da, the skinwalker is an evil witch who can shapeshift into or disguise themselves or an animal or call upon someone else to transform into said being to wreak havoc upon the land and its inhabitants.
Many scenarios surround the story. Who cursed who and who did what? Some stories state the Navajo cursed the youth and some state the youth cursed the Navajo. Some stories even claim they cursed each other. Hate can make people do terrible things. One story that stands out the most is the story about a witch that lived on Navajo land that practiced dark magic. She brought forth skin walkers in the Navajor Dina language ye nushi which translates into he who walks on all fours and called upon them to awaken. They’re known to appear as men but can change into animals to hunt. In fact, while researching this video, a friend of mine who is of the Halapai tribe told me to be careful of speaking of the skin walkers. She believes that if you are even speaking of these creatures, you’re welcoming it to you. She told me to sage and cleanse my house after recording this story. Trust me, as I have shivers going down my spine, I do feel a chill in the air. I’m most definitely burning sage as we speak and letting the bad spirits know that they are not welcome here. Those listening to this story, if you’re brave enough, should beware. This is particularly why you won’t hear many natives speak on this legend. I’m basically putting myself on the line just reiterating this. Widespread belief in tribal custom warns that speaking of wicked beings is not just bad luck, but it’s the same as calling out to it, reaching out to it, welcoming it. Even some say that even just thinking of those type of creatures can draw them forward. I don’t think I or any of you want to experience that encounter firsthand. My friend from the Halapai tribe went on to tell me a story of her and her family heading to New Mexico for the Gathering of Nations and had to pass through the Skinwalker Ranch area. They went at night and her aunt cautioned her, “If you see anything running alongside the truck, don’t look at it.
Don’t look at its eyes. just keep your head down. Reason being is the belief that if you accidentally lock eyes with a skinw walker, they can put their mark on you. They can absorb themselves into your body and take control of your actions. Now, this is taken very seriously by the native tribes as more than just a myth, but a factual story with factual encounters of factual entities. This is why I tread lightly and respectfully as I delve into this mystery.
No matter who or what cursed this land and the differing thoughts on it, the descriptions of the beings are essentially the same in that it is a four-legged shape-shifting creature with a disturbingly grotesque human face with orange, red, gleaming eyes.
Those who have claimed to see a skinwalker also stated they were extremely fast and made horrific sounds and cries. Aside from stories relating to indigenous lore, there have been talk about possible alien activity and even secret government experiments going on at Skinwalker Ranch. As stated, it’s been the site of UFOs, paranormal activity, Sasquatch, cattle mutilations, psychic manifestations, and of course, the long-standing story of men who can turn into bloodthirsty animals, which has been the main theme. In the mid 1990s, the Sherman family, who had purchased the ranch in 1994, shared their fascinating stories with the media, which in turn brought national attention to the area. Terry and Gwen Sherman, along with their two children, moved into the home on the Skinwalker ranch in 1994, looking to expand Terry’s business of raising and selling cattle.
Terry and Gwen fell in love with the homestead and were really looking forward to this new start on this farm with their children. Really, all they wanted was a peaceful and quiet place to live out the rest of their lives. Gwyn was raised in Utah, though she had no idea about the claims of the ranch.
Terry was born and raised in Arizona before moving into the basin. The Shermans were just nice people, good folks, as my granny would say, who wanted the best for their children. The couple had no clue what awaited them, nor the horrors they would soon encounter. When they arrived at the home, they found all the windows and doors were bolted shut. The previous owners didn’t offer any explanation why.
Not only were there dead bolts everywhere, toward the back of the house were big chunky chains that looked as if they had held something back at one time. This left them feeling uneasy, but they tried brushing it off, thinking maybe the previous owners were just overly cautious about intruders. The ranch was apparently left in poor condition by the previous owner. wonder why. What could have possibly wrecked this home? Could someone or something drove the previous owners to this insanity? Anyway, the ranch was left in poor condition, so the Sherman spent countless hours restoring their property before they were finally able to move in. However, soon after settling into their dream homestead, Terry noticed an odd circular depression in the ground.
This imprint didn’t bother him at first.
We just assumed someone had removed a tree at some point in time or that it was a natural occurrence.
It wasn’t until a year later in 1995 that the Sherman started getting plagued with odd goings on. They started seeing strange lights in the sky as well as other unidentified flying objects. They tried taking pictures, recording, and documenting these events, but with no success. Their equipment either seemed to go haywire when they would try to record or everything was just messed up on the recording. more of these strange crop circles or whatever they were, some bigger than 8 ft in diameter, would start to show up on the ranch.
Soon after, they found holes about 3 ft wide and a couple feet deep that would appear in random spots on the farm as well. They were very unsure of any animal that would dig holes so big. Soon after, this is when the cattle mutilation started occurring. The Shermans lost their price cattle the first year, over 20% of their cattle compared to the usual 1% or so that farmers expect to lose. That 1% of cattle usually die off due to natural circumstances such as illness. But this great loss of 20% was not natural at all. In fact, it happened so often that the cattle completely went missing or they found them in numerous areas of the ranch, either dissected or exanguinated, drained of their insides in an oddly surgical and bloodless manner.
One night, Terry Sherman went to check on a cow that was soon to give birth when he noticed strange bright lights in the sky that moved in ways that a normal aircraft could not possibly move. He noticed these lights were hovering over some of his cattle. And when he rushed over the area, he noticed a cow that had a missing eye. Almost like it was hollowed out and all the insides of the cow were gone. As if everything inside this cow had been sucked out of a single eye socket. As creepy as that is, this would not be the last incidence of this.
One thing he noted was that the cows had an indescribable chemical-like smell coming from them after they died. In the winter, Terry was out in the field and was searching for a certain cow that had gone missing. He noticed hoof prints in the snow, so he followed him. They seemingly led to an area near some trees, then stopped. He looked around thinking, “Okay, where could this cow possibly gone?” Then he looked up and saw it severed and broken branches on the tree and on the ground as if the cow had actually been pulled up with great force and disappeared into the air. What could have taken the cow in such a manner? And why?
Law enforcement was called on multiple occasion only for them to chalk it up to predator animal mutilation. The question remained though, what type of predator could do this? This question would undoubtedly go unanswered.
Other odd phenomena occurred almost daily. Objects being moved around or going missing only to reappear in other places. Large animals and prints they were convinced couldn’t be real. These events began to make the Sherman family terrified and scared for not only the remaining Cadlin livestock, but for their very own lives as well. They would begin to hear strange non-human-like growls and noises that sounded like they were coming close. Things would bang on their house in the middle of the night, and they found what appeared to be claw marks on the outsides of their home. The children were not sleeping well throughout this nightmare, as you can imagine. As a matter of fact, no one in the Sherman family was getting much good rest at all. One night, Terry went outside, as he did every night, to check on his livestock. This time, he had a gun, his two dogs, and a flashlight. As you can imagine, life on this farm had become eerie and nerve-wracking.
Suddenly, the dogs went crazy barking.
Terry pointed his flashlight in the direction where the dogs are growling, and in the treeine, he made out the shape of what appeared to be a very, very large creature. It looked like a wolf, but much too large. Terry estimated the creature to be more than three times the size of an average wolf with eyes that glowed blood red. Some sort of supernatural superwolf. The dogs yipped, put their tails between their legs, and retreated back to the house.
Terry was shaking and trembling in fear, but he held his gun as steady as he could, and quickly shot a few rounds at the animal. The creature was hit, but didn’t seem to be phased or hurt in the least. This giant wolf-like creature stared at Terry with malicious evil intent, then slowly disappeared back into the dark treelight.
It was this very event that drove the Shermans to sell their once dream homestead. This was the last and final straw. They only lived there a total of 18 months, but they saw no other choice but to sell their property at a loss and finally be free of this horrific real life nightmare. After all this had gone on, once vacated, the ranch was quickly purchased by billionaire Robert Bigalow, and he renamed it the National Institute for Discovery Science. Bigalow, an incredibly intelligent man who was seeking the truth about our world and us as a human species, and wondered if we were truly alone in the universe. He had been familiar with the strange occurrences at this farm and wanted to live there himself to research and find out for himself the truth about this property and find some sort of explanation for these odd occurrences.
Soon after his purchase, scientists and specialized researchers were brought out to the ranch. It’s unclear what research they did, but it’s been said that his wife started getting plagued with nightmares and supernatural beings. Mr.
Bigalow hated this for his wife. Many experiments were done at the ranch, but again, little has been spoken about what was found. It’s said that the experiments they did do could not disprove the reality of what was happening at this ranch. Therefore, what was going on and apparently still goes on at this ranch is quite clearly inexplicable. Some theories suggest that the government possibly had forced Bigalow to conceal many of the findings which they had participated in and funded. He lived there for 20 years until selling it to a man named Brandon Fugal in 2016. And let’s be real, Robert Bigalow was already a billionaire, so he most definitely wasn’t trying to flip the property for money. It’s been said that after his beloved wife passed away, he refocused his research from UFOs in the paranormal to trying to find out if the soul does indeed live on after death. So, what do you think? You think Robert Bigalow was quieted by the government? Think of Mr. Robert Bigalow however you want to. But in our opinion, we think he was a genius and that he was on to something. It seems that he got what he needed from the area. The timeline of events places his creation of his aerospace company after experimentation and acquisition of the skinwalker ranch.
Therefore, one can possibly summize that Bigalow and his team quite possibly found enough anomalies and data to not only create a space company, but to peak the interest of defense assets. The strange going on drew the interest of the Defense Intelligence Agency, and through funding secured by Harry Reid, the former Democratic Senate Majority Leader, this led to a formation of a Pentagon effort to study unidentified flying objects, courtesy of the Advanced Aerospace Threat Identification Program.
Now, Brandon Fugal, owner of Skinwalker Ranch since 2016, is also another very intelligent, wealthy man. We believe him when he says he did not purchase the ranch to monetize it. He owned this property for 4 years before going public with it. He claims that he bought it purely for the purpose of scientific investigation and had no desire to go public with his identity as the owner.
He admits that the property did indeed become a money pit, but he has yet to make any money personally in connection with a TV show that came out about Skinwalker Ranch, and anything that could be provided in the future would not even come close to recovering the amount he’s invested in this place. He goes on to say that the television show was primarily only a vehicle for informing the public regarding the reality of what his team had been experiencing and documenting, and that he hoped this would stimulate positive discussion concerning these topics. He had bought the property as a healthy skeptic and is now surprised by what has been documented witnessed. Furthermore, it’s been stated that many people who go on the skinw walker ranch have been followed home by something and continue to be terrorized by these super beings.
This ste from that area death some unfortunately seem to have been driven to insanity.
Perhaps some things are better left unknown, or should I say better left to the unknown, and the professionals who are willing to take that risk for scientific purposes. And even then, it’s as if the powers that be won’t let us know too much. Perhaps we should take advice from the wise one on this, the Native Americans, and say just stay away. There’s more to reality than what meets here. Indeed things that every cursed lands hate powerful emotionful to a powerful word be careful because lands and people can forever be.
Could these lands have been cursed prior to the natives arriving to this area?
And what is the possible extraterrestrial connection? What would they want with this place? These are the things that aren’t from your typical story book. And yet, we continue to wonder. Creepy sounds night, sounds on the doors, skin walkers, mysterious lights, mutilated and disappearing cattle. Are you brave enough to keep your head under the covers long enough to find out the truth? Just know that if you do, whether you believe or not, that’s up to you. But be careful. You don’t want the chance of anything following you home, do you? Well, there you have it, folks. I really look forward to the comments on this one, but please keep it friendly and respectful.
Ultimately, it’s up to you to decide what you believe. Until we meet again, be good to yourselves and each other.
Stay safe out there. As for me, I’ll see you a little further on down the trail.
I hope nothing follows me home after this video.
I’m Steve Stockton, and I’ll talk to you next time. And please tell your animals I said hi.
