Where Is Below Deck Down Under Filmed? Learn More About The Season 4 Location
There is no shortage of drama and beautiful sights on Below Deck Down Under Season 4. Viewers will continue to get to know the crew members, led by Captain Jason Chambers, who deal with some wild charter guests, all while being docked in the Caribbean island of Canouan.
The Below Deck Down Under Season 4 location of Canouan is remote and a little hard to get to, according to Captain Jason, but beautiful and luxurious. Jason opened up about the decision to dock motor yacht Katina in Canouan during Below Deck Down Under Season 4, Episode 1.
“This season we’re in Canouan, and I cannot be any more excited,” Jason explained in the premiere episode. “It’s an exclusive location. To get here is a mission. You have to charter your own plane, but this is where the high-end people want to be.”
“It’s got the largest reef chain in the Caribbean. It’s a perfect place for some snorkeling,” he continued. “It has lots of sea life. We’re down under the Caribbean, but down under is a state of mind.”

Where is Canouan?
Canouan is a small island the size of three square miles located in the nation of St. Vincent and the Grenadines. Canouan lies halfway between St. Vincent and Grenada along the Caribbean Sea, according to Travel + Leisure, and is around a 45 minute flight from Barbados.

Daisy Kelliher opens up about the challenges of yachting in Canouan on Below Deck Down Under
But because Canouan is so small and so remote, it lent to some challenges during the yachting season. Below Deck Down Under chief stew, Daisy Kelliher, opened up about this in a Jan. 27 interview with Miami Living.
“I think the biggest challenge was provisioning. Canouan is very remote and exclusive,” she admitted. “I have always filmed in Europe, so if we needed something, it was relatively easy to get. In Canouan, we did not have that luxury! So making sure we had everything the guests required or expected was a challenge and often quite stressful. It definitely added to the pressure of the season.”

Captain Jason Chambers shares new details about docking in Canouan in Season 4
Jason spoke with TV Insider in January, where he opened up about his favorite parts of docking in Canouan for BDDU Season 4. “It’s a beautiful marina. An amazing place. It has developed a lot more since I was there, but it is purely private,” he explained.
“To get there is a charter flight from Barbados. It’s kind of unique when you fly over it,” he added, noting “the marina is a step back in time.”
He added, “There is a beautiful golf course there. It’s so unique and close to all the keys there. We’re pretty blessed to have that season there. I have been that way before, back in 2016. I did a whole season down there, but I hadn’t experienced Canouan like this. It was amazing.”
