Does Alesia Harris Actually Quit Below Deck Down Under? Find Out (EXCLUSIVE)
Does Alesia Harris Actually Quit Below Deck Down Under? Find Out (EXCLUSIVE)
After Alesia Harris and chef Ben Robinson’s conflicts reached a boiling point in the galley, the second episode of Below Deck Down Under Season 4 ended on a cliffhanger involving the sous chef’s fate on M/Y Katina.
Luckily, viewers don’t have to wait to find out if Alesia actually quit during her one-on-one with Captain Jason Chambers, thanks to the newly dropped first look at Episode 3 (airing on Feb. 16). The preview picks up with Alesia debriefing Captain Jason on her drama with Ben.
“I’m doing my absolute best, and I can tolerate it for a certain amount of time,” she tells him through tears. “But it’s three days in, and I’m losing my head. I’m really sorr,y but I’m waving the white flag, and I just can’t do it. … It would be a better boat if you had someone that had a better skill set than me.”
Alesia elaborates in a confessional, “I don’t want to let Jason down, but I’m actually just at the end of my tether.”
By the end of their chat, however, she agrees to continue giving her new role a chance — at least for the time being.
Captain Jason Chambers reacts to Alesia Harris wanting to quit Below Deck Down Under

Captain Jason ultimately convinces Alesia to stay the course by first pointing out that they were “understaffed,” following the unexpected departure of stew Joe Caron before the first charter with The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City cast even began.
“So, it’s actually probably gonna get better when he gets on top of things,” he says in the sneak peek, referring to Ben. “I don’t want you going through the season like this continuously, but I’m actually hoping that you can put his personality to one side and just see how you can fit in.”
Jason further explains that he had a vision of Alesia “learning so much” by the end of charter season and tells her that he “would be so disappointed” if she left early.
As he adds to a producer, “I brought Alesa back this season because I want her to continue to grow in the industry. And I know that she wants to be a chef. I do like her energy, and she is a friend. And I want her to be on board. This is a great opportunity for her. I don’t want her to throw it away after one charter.”
On the Below Deck Down Under After Show for Episode 2, Captain Jason offered more intel on his handling of Alesia’s “personality clash” with Ben.
“I just can’t change the whole dynamics just to suit her,” he said, underscoring his hope that the RHOSLC cast’s tip would motivate Alesia. “This whole thing’s gonna be hard to manage, ’cause you can’t ask someone like Ben to change his spots overnight.”
What to Know About Below Deck Down Under Season 4
All aboard! Below Deck Down Under Season 4 has left the dock, with new episodes airing Mondays at 8/7c on Bravo and streaming the next day on Peacock.
Captain Jason Chambers is back at the helm, along with some very familiar faces from around the Below Deck universe, including Ben Robinson, Daisy Kelliher, and João Franco. They will be joined by Alesia Harris, Joe Caron, Jenna Woudberg, Mike Durrant, Eddy Hounsell, and Betul Yazici.
The crew finds itself on rocky waters, as the season kicks off with a historic crossover charter featuring The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City Season 6 cast aboard M/Y Katina. As the yachties continue to set sail through Canouan in the Caribbean, they face crew drama, steamy hookups, and charter guest issues.

Inside Alesia Harris and Ben Robinson’s upcoming conversation on Below Deck Down Under

After her talk with Captain Jason, Alesia also confronts Ben directly in the Episode 3 preview.
“I love you, Ben, and I really respect you,” she begins. “But I don’t want to be here. I actually f–king hate it.”
When he asks for more information about what’s going on, Alesia explains, “Well, I cry every day. I can’t do the job. You’ll be better off with someone with more qualifications.”
After all, their issues had primarily stemmed from Ben’s frustration over Alesia’s lack of culinary knowledge, even though she was just getting her feet wet. That’s why she also mentions how his uneven “temperament” has become “too much” for her as well, especially after he had tossed a batch of half-baked muffins that she had been preparing.

“I realize a lot of this stress is because you aren’t a chef, and sometimes, I treat you like a chef,” Ben responds. “Please understand that, you know, what we do requires, like, a lot of perfection. It’s really hard for me to let go of that. I don’t want to upset you. I grew up in really hardcore kitchens, and it’s hard to get that out.”
In a confessional, Ben remarks, “She’s saying that she respects me and that she wants to quit at the same time. It feels terrible. I should be a good boss and a good leader. And if someone’s gonna quit on me, that’s not good for me.”
Their talk ends with Ben admitting that he can be difficult to work with, while Alesia, for her part, owns up to being “useless” in the galley, at times.
As Ben concluded on the After Show, “I thought we were going through some growing pains.”
