Danielle Colby took to Instagram on Sunday, April 20th, to educate fans on her life outside of the History Channel series.

“What is an ecchiast? Let me tell you. An ecchiast is somebody who sheds clothing for money. It is somebody who is naked for a living like myself — not on American Pickers — but on stage and many of my friends,” Colby, 49, explained.

“Clapperboard, it can encompass a whole bunch of different types of nude art, including just nude modeling, burlesque, strip tease, pole film, photo, adult films. It encompasses everything,” she added.

“So glad I found this page. Thank you for the education,” one fan commented on her video.

“Proud supporter of the art,” added another.

Colby, who has been on American Pickers since it premiered in 2010, has always been vocal about her work as a burlesque dancer. Her stage name is Danny Diesel, and the majority of her social media content is centered around it, including an exciting new venture she announced earlier this month.

Colby is opening up the Ecdysiast Arts Museum in Davenport, Iowa.

“It’s a really beautiful location right next to the Adler Theater, right next to the symphony, right down the street from Trash Can Annie. There’s a million fantastic, really great shops to visit,” she detailed via Instagram on April 16th.

The museum is slated to open on Saturday, June 21st, and it sounds like there will be a host of different activities to enjoy.

“We will have shows, we will have workshops, we will have panels, and we will have fun little vintage parties as well,” Colby revealed.

“You’re going to get to see some of the most rare iconic vintage costuming, books, clothing, jewelry, and I’m really excited to share it all with you.”
