Wolf claimed to have never ever given up on Fritz and to have attempted to get him into treatment. “Finally,” he said, “it was really difficult to watch Frank do some of the things that he was doing.”

According to Wolf, the network ultimately decided what the show would accomplish. “They simply say, ‘Listen, we need to move on.
