Latest Oak Island Episode Confirmes The SHOCKING Rumours!!
Good luck Tony. All right, Tony’s in the water, Tony’s in the water, there you go. All right, ready to rock and roll. Holy sh—. All right, it’s a cross, that’s a cross. Say that is somewhere in between 1 comma and 1,600 from the discovery of an ancient artifact that has the potential to help the team draw closer to this treasure that is rumored to be hidden on the island, to the discovery of even more artifacts that could tell us who hid this mysterious treasure.
Here’s the latest Oak Island episode and how it confirms the truth when you hear about the tales of missing treasure that is rumored to have been buried on Oak Island for more than 200 years now. One cannot be truly surprised that many people risked their lives trying to make it to the remote Canadian island. What may take people by surprise is how mysterious the island is when they get there. Not only are they taken by how beautiful the island is, but they are also shocked by how many secrets this island holds on its strange shores.
As such, one can say that the island has inspired many to experience a wide range of things. While some may have been inspired by the many adventures that had taken place on the island as many people searched for this elusive treasure, many others have had to swallow the bitter pill of disappointment following their failure to emerge from the island with the treasure that has long been rumored to have been hidden.
Despite the fact that the treasure hunt has been on for more than two centuries now, it’s fair to say that people were in shock when they learned that after recent years of searching the island for this treasure that we’ve been piping on about for some time, there’s been a constant history of people doing that. I mean, it seems like each person or group that gets involved just doesn’t give up until they either die or they go bankrupt.
Some of the most dedicated treasure hunters in the world may have actually just made some recent discoveries that had the potential of revealing the truth behind the many secrets of this mysterious island. Hopefully, this will lead to the discovery of that treasure that we’ve all been itching to find for more than 200 years now.
One of such discoveries occurred when Rick Leina, the older of the Legina brothers, Gary Dron, the team’s metal detecting expert, and Lon, the team’s resident archaeologist, decided to go on an exciting expedition to Lot 5, a plot of land that had a lot of potential for those looking for the treasure that is rumored to be hidden on the island. After making their way to Lot 5, which is located on the western side of the island, the trio couldn’t help but feel that their current trip to this part of the island may lead to the revelation of where the untold riches might be.
As you can imagine, this may have been such an exciting moment for the guys as the trio set about searching for the clues that may reveal some of the island’s long-hidden secrets. You could tell that they were over the moon as they surveyed the landscape. As this went on, Rick couldn’t help but acknowledge the efforts and contributions that were made by Fred Nolan and Robert Young, two of the former owners of the island, before he, his brother Marty, and some of the members of The Curse of Oak Island team went on to buy the island so that they could search for this elusive treasure themselves.
Considering the times the Leginas and the team were in, especially as it gave them access to some of the state-of-the-art technology that we have available today, their most promising operation is underway in The Money Pit area with Duma Contracting Limited. Rick was especially taken by how much they were able to achieve despite having access to the limited technology of their times. Can you imagine attempting to survey the island back then or having to perform some of these deep and elaborate digs without the machines that the Legina brothers and their team use today? It must have been a really tedious process.
As much as the older Leg brother had the wherewithal to appreciate what some of his predecessors went through, he was also aware that the technological limitations of his predecessors also meant that it was possible that some valuable items may still lay hidden in the dirt that they were currently trotting on. As they made their way through Lot 5, that is why they weren’t surprised when they came across an amazing relic. This was a coin that looked so old there were some in the camp that believed it could possibly date back to the year 1 BC.
Now that would be amazing. Who on Earth was mucking about on Oak Island back then? Aside from the fact that their team must have been wondering how this coin made it to Oak Island back then, they weren’t so naive as to miss out on the historical significance of such a coin. Luckily for them, a quick look at the coin was enough to tell that this coin represented one of the earliest methods of creating and producing metal coinage in human history.
They’d be able to tell you that this coin was created with a process known as hammered coinage, and its creation involved the maker imprinting patterns onto metal plank coins using dies. As interesting as this method may be, it seems as though the Curse of the Oak Island crew could not ignore the possible age of what seems to be an ancient coin with the possibility that this coin was about 500 years old. It was possible that its existence may be enough to challenge the date of the introduction of coin minting machines in Europe.
Just when the guys were looking for the answers to some of the many lingering mysteries of Oak Island, they just happened to come into another one. Understandably, the age of the coin and its link to Europe makes this coin one of the most significant finds that had been made by the team in recent times. When you consider how it was discovered so far away from home in such a distinct and remote part of the planet, one is also forced to wonder how this coin could have found its way there.
This is probably how the thoughts of trade routes, cultural exchanges, and the technological achievements of the people of those times came to mind as the team searched for explanations as to how such a fantastic artifact got to the island. Looking for answers, the team dedicated a lot of effort to getting the answers to these burning questions, as they saw how it could help them improve on their knowledge and understanding of the many mysteries that surround this captivating island.
The real core of the Oak Island story is who, why, where, and how. That’s what really got me. As for me, I was more interested in the treasure. Maybe it could help them learn more about the early human civilizations that have long been forgotten and may even give us some insights as to their economic policies back then, if they truly had any. The search for these answers was probably why CLG Lan and Gary Dron wasted little time in order to get the piece to L’s fellow archaeologist T. Mulligan. Together, they may just be able to learn more about this piece of a coin. Maybe it could even be a vital clue towards finding that elusive treasure on the island.
Understandably, one can see how the search for the coin’s composition would have left the team restless, especially as they were hoping that the coin was made of silver. Apparently, this wouldn’t prove the coin’s historical value. That is why Emma decided to use an x-ray fluorescent spectrometer to look into the coin’s elemental composition. Unfortunately for the guys, this spectrometer would reveal that the coin was made up of traces of copper and arsenic. Perhaps most importantly, the scan with the spectrometer proved that the coin was made up of arsenic-bronze copper alloy that convinced the team that maybe this coin could be traced back to the 1500s, a little more than 500 years ago.
In this search for answers, this revelation must have been a boost to the morale of the team because it may have opened even more possibilities and avenues for the team to explore as they continued the search for answers that could lead them to the discovery of this treasure that has eluded so many people for more than 200 years now. If not, at the very least, it could add some more pages to the history of this fascinating island.
Maybe this was because of the fact that the presence of the alloy in the coin gave us a feeling that this coin could have been created in or around the 16th century. The process was replaced by the invention of machines in Europe during the 15th century. This means that it could be more than 500 years old. Once the team came to grasp this concept of how historically significant this coin could be, there was a buzz of excitement in the air, as this could actually be a tangible connection to the past—a period of time that they were desperately hoping to gain some answers from.
Who could blame them though, especially as such thoughts had massive implications for the team and their search for that treasure on the island? When one thinks about it, they would realize that this was because it gave them some insights as to how some of these ancient currencies were put together by our ancestors. Not only that, it also educated the team and those watching from home about the past technological advancements that were made by our ancestors and the economic structures that they had in place—well, at least the ones from Europe. We can say that is what makes this treasure so special.
At the very least, the coin reminded the team about an important bar token that was found by the team on Lot 5 some time ago. The coin and the bar token shared some similarities. Most significant of that being that it was also made of a bronze alloy. Sandy Campbell, the coin specialist that just happens to be on call, came to believe that the token was even older than the supposedly 16th-century coiners.
You can imagine the team was excited by what seemed to be a connection to the trade practices that were observed by ancient civilizations. Considering the discovery of a similar item with the same bronze alloy, one couldn’t blame the team for believing that they may actually be finding some crucial pieces of the puzzle. And with any luck, it may actually lead them to that treasure that they had been searching for all this time.
That said, it would still be a difficult task to find the answers that they were looking for when it came to unlocking the many mysteries of Oak Island. Just take a look at the coins and tokens that they found, which possibly date back to the 16th century. This may have been a genuine moment of discovery for the Legina brothers and their band of treasure hunters, but it still didn’t bring them any closer to the treasure.
That said, we cannot ignore the fact that it was possible for these items to shed some light on some of these very closely guarded secrets of the island. However, we are still left looking for answers because we still aren’t sure what these items signify. For now, all we can say is that the discoveries of these artifacts on Lot 5 and Lot 7 seem to have increased interest as to what was going on on the island, although those centuries ago.
What were the past inhabitants up to while they were on Oak Island, and what could their stories reveal when it came to the significance of these coins to such inhabitants of the past? Could it be possible that these coins were used for trade by those who called this island home? Or could it actually be possible that these coins are part of the treasure that was said to be hidden on this mysterious island so many years ago?
Driven by their curiosity and determination as they continued searching for these answers, it was clear that the team recognized how important it was to get the answers to some of these questions, as it had the potential of revealing the truth behind some of the secrets of this mysterious island. There was no way that they could ignore the fact that getting the answers to these secrets could help them get closer to being the ones that would extract the hidden treasure of this island.
As they searched for answers, Alex LeGina, Martil Leina’s son, Emma Culligan, the arim metalist, and Jack Bigley were on call to receive Sandy Campbell, a new myst, someone who studies or collects coins, paper money, or medals. Some might just call that a rich man, but it was clear that they wanted to know the opinion of this coin specialist once more.
After all, he had displayed his expertise some time ago when he took a look at a cut copper coin that was recently discovered by Rick Leina and Gary Drayton when they engaged in one of these searches for artifacts on Lot 5. Just like their recent find, it looked as though they were interested in finding out if this coin could be dated back to the 16th century as well.
Unlike the others, however, this coin showed traces of silver. When Emma gave it a scan with her spectrometer, sure, it was a trace of 1.5% silver, but this was enough of a difference, especially as Sandy explained that this wasn’t unusual because silver is known to accompany copper sometimes. This was even a natural phenomenon. Perhaps like how apparently finding iron in the soil is a good sign because this means that gold must be nearby.
Either way, upon looking at the composition of the cut copper coin, the team was compelled to believe that this coin must have come from the Roman era. Fascinating stuff. This made Rick’s mind turn to past expeditions. The one that seemed to stand out was when he and the team took a trip to Portugal so that they could take a look at various sites where the Knights Templar must have erected fortifications at some point between the 12th and 16th centuries.
Within this 400-year period, these Knights Templar were eager to leave their mark because Rick’s nephew Alex and whoever accompanied them were taken by surprise by the sculptures that were left behind by these members of their ancient medieval Christian military organization. Perhaps what struck them the most was how some of these sculptures resembled some of the symbols that they found when they discovered certain artifacts on Oak Island. Could this truly mean that the Knights Templar made their way to Oak Island all those years ago?
There were reported rumors that the Knights Templar were hoping to make use of the island because they figured that it was a secure place to store and protect their ever-growing fortune back in their heyday. That said, one of the most significant things that the team came across during their time in Portugal was the discovery of this cobblestone road that was dated back to a period of time that was more than 2,000 years ago. This reminded us of the ancient Roman Empire, especially as this road had the remarkable attribute of looking exactly like a similar road that was found on Oak Island in 2020. Coincidence or not, there were those who were of the opinion that not only did this cobblestone road have Portuguese origins, but it also meant that this road was at least about 500 years old.
As you can tell, the similarities between this Portuguese road and the one found on Oak Island were too close and too shocking to ignore. At the very least, it suggested that there must be a connection between these two roads that must span a period of more than 500 years or so. Furthermore, the connection served to solidify the belief that there must have been a Knights Templar presence on Oak Island all those years ago. Who knows, their presence may even persist even till this day. However, as we cannot prove that right now, the team had to continue with their investigations on the island.
That said, this didn’t stop Rick from continuing with his belief that they must be on the verge of a big breakthrough when it came to their search for the elusive treasure that is rumored to be hidden somewhere on this mysterious island. At the very least, it made him keep thinking of what the discovery of the drone-ran coin meant to their search for the island’s elusive treasure.
On a smaller scale, what could the coin’s connection be to their cobblestone road that was discovered in the marshy swamps located on Oak Island? Could the Knights Templar have constructed that road as they tried to find a place to hide their vast fortune on the mysterious island? Such a thought was enough to spark some excitement for Rick and the rest of the team as they felt they were coming close to the end of this search for treasure on the island.
Maybe that’s why the team couldn’t help but feel that the connection with the medieval military organization would expand the scope of their search. As expansive as such a thought may be, the team still had time to turn their attention to another artifact that was discovered some years back. This discovery was made back in 2017 when a medieval lead cross was found on Smith’s Cove. As the team made the connection between the lead cross and the Knights Templar, they also turned their attention to a strange dam that was located at the northern side of the swamp. As they took a look at this old structure, they also began to think that this was there because of their efforts.
Of the Knights Templar, encouraging as these clues may be, they still weren’t as exciting as the discovery of traces of gold in and around the original Money Pit area. Furthermore, as the team continued to make connections between the Roman coin, the cobblestone pathway, and some other findings that could be linked to the Knights Templar, the team had to continue working in line with the fact that this treasure that they may be looking for on the island may actually belong to the Knights Templar.
However, they cannot ignore the other rumors concerning the origin of the treasure, so they had to accept that all these speculations only meant that they had to carry out some further analysis on their finds. Following this, the team made their departure from the interpretive center to continue their efforts. Rick and Gary were all too excited to make their way back to Lot 5 so that they could carry on with their investigations of the area with their trusty metal detectors.
Who would blame them? Their search of the area had been very productive so far. Although they had not discovered the treasure that we’re all looking for, they have been able to come away with some rather interesting artifacts, such as ancient tools and bullets that belonged to a musket. Understandably, these items help the team
