They could have had part of the treasure from Oak Island as a way to finance the war and help, you know, establish the new country. Holy smokes! If there really is a connection to the American Revolution, it is Oak Island.

Excavation site shut down after terrifying discovery.

Looking into the history of Oak Island, one would learn about the many adventurous treasure hunters that endured the tasking voyage across the many seas of the world to make their way to the captivating island.

Now, as The Curse of Oak Island TV show broadcasts this tireless and daring adventure going on in the southern region of the province of Nova Scotia, the Lina brothers and their crew have come across something truly terrifying. They found something deep in the ground that will change the island’s history forever.

The local authorities in the area are closing down the island because of the shocking discovery the Lina brothers made.

Let’s hop on that boat to Oak Island to find out what the Lina Brothers found — and believe me, you won’t believe what they found.

Things took a troubling turn for the team on a day where they carried on with their work as usual — that is, until the team discovered the cause of all their problems.

Before this discovery that threatened to make their operations problematic, the team had already succeeded in making some progressive findings.

Unfortunately, the authorities felt that they had to do something when they made some underground discoveries. This was the hidden room that they found next to the Garden Shaft.

With the help of Dumar Contracting Limited, who worked on excavating the shaft, the team believed that they would discover an underground network or route that would lead them to where treasure may be hidden on the island.

After learning that it would take the team nearly two months to dig 75 ft into the ground, they were not discouraged, because they believed that as long as it would lead them to a network of tunnels that may contain the rumored treasure, everything would be okay.

Furthermore, thanks to the recent discovery of an item that they believed to be of Viking providence, they were sure that they were on the right path.

Unfortunately, these positive thoughts would be hindered by the long arm of Canadian bureaucracy. Due to the fact that the team hired a team of excavators, the Canadian government insisted that the team needed a mining warrant so they could legally carry on with their work.

It’s strange even to a layman, because everybody knows that the Lina Brothers aren’t mining for anything.

It’s a shame that red tape would hinder the team’s progress — as if their task of finding this hidden treasure isn’t hard enough already.

Maybe it’s due to this difficulty in terms of digging into unknown territories that the government is wary of allowing them to continue with their daunting expedition. After all, up to six people have died searching for this treasure on Oak Island.

Unfortunately for the Canadian government, it’s difficult to side with them on this matter, because they’ve already hindered the team’s work by stopping them from carrying on with a good percentage of their excavation work back in 2021.

This must have been frustrating for the team, because this was when they had just found some amazing artifacts.

This stoppage prevented them from using certain archaeological techniques.

Fortunately for them, the team was able to move forward with their excavation by applying modern technology to fulfill certain tasks — such as mapping some of the underground regions of the island.

Although they have faced other clashes with the Canadian authorities since then, there is hope that these interruptions will come to an end.

That said, the recent development with the mining warrant tells us otherwise.

Be that as it may, the team would have to forget about the Canadian government once they arrived at the bottom of the shaft in the sixth season of The Curse of Oak Island documentary.

Although they thought that nothing could go wrong, especially now that they’re at this stage, that feeling was boosted by the discovery of some precious artifacts.

However, they soon learned how dangerous this work could be when they happened across some bone fragments suspected to be from the original Money Pit area.

As they stored the piece of human remains for later analysis, they couldn’t help but shudder as they processed the thought of losing their lives in the course of this quest.

Despite this harrowing reminder, the team powered through, making more and more discoveries as they approached season 10 of their riveting documentary show.

As the captivated fans keep their eyes glued to their screens while the team ponders some of the artifacts they had recently discovered, they couldn’t help but wonder when — or if — the Lina Brothers and the crew would ever find the hidden treasure of Oak Island.

The answer to this pressing question would have to wait, as the viewers watched the team make their way to the triangular territory that is Lot Five.

This was done by going down an 82-foot shaft. Although they didn’t believe that they would find a tunnel or a chamber which could contain their desired treasure because of its sinking terminus, they decided to investigate this deep shaft.

After some training, Charles was the first individual to head down the shaft. Upon returning to base, Charles’s report led the team to dig the tunnels somewhere close by.

As Charles and Marty dealt with the troublesome terminus, Alex, Peter, and Rick decided to head over to Italy so they could get the opinion of Umberto Muser, a man well-versed in knowledge about ancient coins, relics, and similar sorts of artifacts.

Upon analysis of these items, Umberto believed that there must have been some ancient Roman presence on Oak Island once upon a time.

This must have excited those back on the island.

Excited as they may be about the fact that Umberto was currently comparing their coins to some Byzantine coins, the team continued drilling into Lot Five.

They also carried out investigations on interesting places like the Nolan’s Cross area and an intriguing circular depression in the marsh.

There, they found some ceramic fragments that made them believe that it may have been a cooking pot.

As amazing as that may be, you couldn’t help but feel that they were more interested in a lead cross that they found somewhere in the swamp nearby.

As they wondered how these discoveries would link to the enthralling history of the island, they also came across some wooden fragments when drilling for tunnels in the Garden Shaft.

Believing this may be proof of some tunnels nearby, the team swept over the area with a metal detector.

This resulted in the discovery of 18th-century spikes. Talk about good luck!

Afterward, the team convened via Skype to discuss the meeting they had with a geophysicist named Jeremy Church — a representative of the Eagle Canada Seismic Exploration business.

He told them the data collected from the seismic survey that they performed on the eastern region of Oak Island pointed them to the presence of a strange oddity somewhere 60 or so feet into the southeast corner of the Cave-In Pit.

This anomaly bore a resemblance to the Smith’s Cove flood tunnels.

Similar excavations have only opened the team to the reality that this would not be an easy task.

Ever since Daniel McGinnis dug up the original Money Pit all the way back in 1795, many people have faced this daunting task — and unfortunately, pretty much all of them have failed.

Maybe — just maybe — the tireless efforts of the Lina Brothers and The Curse of Oak Island TV show crew will yield the results we are all hoping for.
