Alumni of the American Pickers following his significant weight loss, Frank Fritz appeared content and healthy in infrequent fan photos. After taking a break from American Pickers in March 2020 to recuperate from back surgery, Frank, 58, was let go in July 2021.

In his native IA, Frank has maintained a low profile since being fired from the popular series. The Sun has exclusive access to new images of Frank that fans have uploaded to the Frank Fritz Fans Facebook page. Frank grinned broadly beside a fan in the pictures, appearing content and in good health. Frank, who has been maintaining his weight loss, flaunted his slender physique in trousers, a shirt, and a jacket.
This was from yesterday when Frank picked his Corvette up from my buddy Mikeâs shop after repair. A member wrote as the caption for the set of pictures: “He spent almost 3 hours sitting and shooting the breeze. It was awesome. Fantastic man. Frank will never go back to American Pickers,” the admirer asserted. “He is trying to get a show about nostalgic car restorations with a backstory in the works.” The member went on.
The post follows The Sun’s exclusive news that Frank is negotiating a program of his own. The Sun was previously informed by a person close to Frank that he is in contact with a producer who lives in Las Vegas. For his ranch, Frank has sold him a lot of items recently. He ventured outside once more; it might be for his show, in my opinion.
In a prior interview with The Sun, Frank expressed his desire to return to the small screen, saying, âIâd still like to get back to my job. I miss my friends, and my people, and being on the road and meeting all those different characters.â Fans concur, as seen by the large number of boycotts and demands that Frank appear in his own spinoff on social media. A fan posted: âBring Frank back with his own show! I believe Frank would perform better on his own show.â A second person stated: âIâd watch it.â âFrank ought to launch his own show,â said a third commenter. âItâd be superior to Pickers. We havenât watched American Pickers since you left the show, Frank,â a fourth admirer commented. âWe miss you, be careful buddy.â
In July, co-star Mike Wolf announced that Frank had been let go from the program because his brother Robbie had taken his position. âIâve known Frank for as long as I can remember, and heâs been like a brother to me,â he wrote on Instagram. âThe support that you all have given us has been a constant reminder of what the showâs message has always been: through these places, people, and things, we all have a common thread. Like all life, the journey that Frank, Danny, and I began back in 2009 has had its ups and downs, blessings, and challenges, but it has also been the most rewarding. We are here to look after each other, as well as the past. Like all of you, I will miss Frank, and I pray for the very best and all good things for him on the next part of his journey,â Mike said in closing.
As Frank previously revealed to The Sun, the co-stars had been at odds. âI havenât spoken to Mike in two years. He didnât call me to check on me, even though he knew my back was messed up. Thatâs the way things are. He gets given a third of the show. It would be impossible for me to demonstrate to you just how much. Itâs okay. Steven Tyler is the front man of Aerosmith, and itâs like that. Iâve discovered my place on the program. Heâs number one, and Iâm second. I donât mind at all.â
Perhaps he is having trouble since Frankâs departure. People have been tuning off, which has hurt ratings since the cast change, according to The Sun.
Frank last made an appearance on American Pickers in an episode from March 2020. He was taking time off to recuperate from back surgery, which left him with two rods in his spine and 185 stitches. Due to his healthy lifestyle and abstinence from alcohol, Frank shed 65 lbs during his time off the program. He also revealed to The Sun that he spent 77 days at an Iowa alcohol addiction treatment center. âI went to rehab, and Iâve been sober now for 11 months,â Frank previously stated. âI no longer enjoyed drinking. My mother was an alcoholic who passed away 5 years ago from alcohol-related causes. Due to his alcoholism, my grandfather passed away. I wasnât comfortable with that.â
Regarding his stay in treatment, Frank stated, âWe were scheduled for 13 or 14 hours a day, and they gave me a lot of information. There was no eating or lounging about watching TV throughout the day. You were supposed to be out for an hour, then an hour and a half. You get a lot of one-on-one time with them. During my time there, I read 12 self-help books. There was no asterisk around me. I immersed myself in it. I went there with the intention of learning as much as I could.â
