Chef Ben On Ellie's Emotional Outburst: "She's a Hothead" | BDDU After Show (S4 E9) Pt 1 | Bravo

Curling and brush. Bang bang bang bang bang. I found a hairstyle that looked good. It’s not his hair.
>> Coming up on the below deck down under after show.
>> Hi.
>> Sorry. Can’t do this right now.
>> Storming through the boat in front of guests is not the way to handle it.
>> I just had panel vision. This is the best thing that happened to you.
>> It’s really good. Love the cake.
>> Oh, it tastes like the pound cake.
>> It’s actually good.
>> Congrats.
>> The fact that the guests were happy with this cake really meant the world. And all she did was spackle icing on my recipe.
>> It was a joint effort.
>> Me, too.
>> That’s gorgeous. That’s sweet.
>> THANK YOU.
>> No one’s ever put me in charge of that special day.
>> It be a disaster.
>> The Blow Deck Down Under after show starts right now.
>> This 4-day charter could not have come at a worse time. Like these were about to be the four days from hell and the longest four days of my life. Like I honestly at that point I didn’t even know how we were even going to get through that.
>> I’m not funny. I’m not bunny. I’m not anything.
>> Okay.
>> Okay. Thank you.
>> Sounds good. All right. Perfect. Good.
>> Secondly, don’t ever speak to me like that again.
>> What did I do?
>> How did I speak to you? Could you just tell me?
>> You spoke to me in an awful manner. H >> I don’t think her initial explosion was by any means meager or mild. And I’m not digging it at Elena. I’m not actually digging at her, but I just feel like there’s a golden rule particularly to service. Like if you have a problem with your boss or whatever during service, you save it till after service. I love this. Or maybe or maybe discuss it or maybe discuss it next morning, you know, when it’s quiet or whatever. You know, >> this is great. This is the best thing that happened to you. The fact that Ellie decided during oncharter dinner service, she decides to go to the captain and be like, “He’s so mean to me. I work so hard.” I just had tunnel vision at that point. I saw and heard charter guests somewhere. There was like a muffled signs of charter guests, but I I did not really care at that point. I was just gone. Captain.
Captain, what is happening in the galley? It’s unacceptable. This is the best thing could have happened because the captain’s always going to be like, “hm, you clearly are the >> Aren’t you meant to be >> Yeah.
>> doing?
>> She told on herself. She told on herself.
>> I was determined to just not have my worth diminished any further. I already expressed how I was feeling and I was determined to put a stop to it.” >> Storming through the boat, you know, and coming straight up to the captain in front of guests is not the way to handle it. Obviously, everyone’s looking at her going, “What is the problem here?” Yeah.
>> And now it actually is seeing in front of the guest to me it’s it’s not a good thing at all. Like I would >> work cut out for you.
>> I wouldn’t put up with this at all. I want I want to get rid of it now >> the situation but I can’t.
>> Yeah.
>> Um so I have to manage it. And yes I do have to listen to her. I have to have empathy for for this situation, her boundaries. I have to have respect for them as well. I know exactly where Ellie’s head was at when she decided during dinner service on charter was the perfect time to show her emotions and it reminds me of a time I was on charter.
>> There is hundreds of other ways that you could have approached that situation.
Like you go through the cabins before the end of your ship. You had no right to do that. You need to check yourself.
You need to check yourself. Understood?
While guests are on board, I am Justin.
Everything’s fine. We’re just doing our job. Everything’s fine. We can talk about this later. It’s like when you’re out with your mom and she’s like, “Do not embarrass me in public. Let’s talk about this at home.” >> Yeah. No, it’s just it’s just ignorant and it’s unprofessional.
>> If she had come to him after the charter ended in a quiet, she’s a hotthead.
Yeah.
>> Yeah. So, clearly she was the problem.
>> Oh, and he’s aware of that.
>> You have an obligation. deal with it on a professional manner. Storming past the guest, they noticed. Then we’ve got downstairs, we’ve got that going on in front of the other crew. You went over the line. All this could have been handled with a mature approach. Like two adults. Okay.
>> Yes. Obviously, >> check yourself. I think what was unfortunate about that situation was that I actually think anyone could have seen that Ben really meant it in a very light-hearted manner and he called everyone pet names.
>> Hello, love. Okay, boo. How you doing, sweetie? What’s up, gorgeous? Babe, I’m ready now.
>> It’s what he does and I actually think for for Ben, it it actually is a term of endearment. you know, for her to storm off like that. It’s just like just have a talk to him, you know, like you look, I see you and Ben walk working together.
Like, yeah, you could critique Ben a lot with what you want to put out and you do give it to him. He will listen. Um whether he do does it or not, that’s a different thing. But he actually does listen to you.
>> Have you ever helped put together a wedding on a yacht before?
>> I have not.
That would be the first.
>> No one’s ever put me in charge of their special day.
>> It’d be a disaster.
>> I’ve put together weddings. I’ve attended weddings like Captain Sandies.
>> I’m honored to pronounce your new wives.
>> I love the idea of a wedding on a yacht.
>> So do I.
>> Okay.
>> Are you excited?
>> Yeah. Thanks. I love it.
>> Get your money’s worth. You pay $50,000 for a charter. Generally weddings cost about 75 or 100. You’re saving money.
>> Well, you don’t have to invite a lot of people because you can say safety and I love that.
>> You could say it was very personal for him, you know, and they were very moved during it.
>> Promised to love you forever from this Dave Hoy.
>> Well done, gentlemen.
Me, too.
>> That’s gorgeous. That’s sweet.
>> Thank you. It >> was actually meant a lot to them >> and it looks beautiful. You know, it’s always hard to envision how it’s going to look, but with the sunset and it was I thought it was beautiful. So, I think the team did a good job.
>> Gee, we were lucky with weather.
>> Yeah.
>> I didn’t just feel this. The whole crew felt it. Yeah.
>> Everyone came together and Daisy and J setting up the vow ceremonial. They are depending on us to give them a good time and that is exactly what we did, you know. So, it’s not just uh them having a good time. is also making our time on here just >> give the child meaning. So for us being a part of something that is very important to someone is of course it’s a big thing.
>> It’s so cute. I’m pretty sure Clay started crying. So >> Clay Oh, Clay is amazing.
>> Yeah. Then I start crying cuz I’m just like how nice is it to love someone so much that it brings you to tears.
>> He was very emotional this entire charter. that moment that whole every significant moment.
>> It was so intense.
>> You would be crying. I think he cried even the beach picnic. He cried at dinners. He cried at like he was just so emotional and I think there was a lot going on and he was so thankful >> and he showed a lot of gratitude for just being there.
>> Have you ever put together a wedding on a yacht before?
>> I’ve done a couple. Yeah, we’ve done a couple in season one or two.
>> Welcome friends and loved ones. We are gathered today to celebrate the union of charity and Peter. Your union will share your joys, sorrows, and dreams as one. A >> wasn’t the best vow renewal. I’ve I’ve brushed up on them since then. I went a bit short.
>> We did one on parable and it wasn’t on physically on the boat. It was on land.
It was absolutely stunning. It was beautiful. I was crying.
>> Where was it? Um, Minorca.
>> Oh, nice.
>> Yeah, cuz I feel like we did a Spanish theme for dinner, so it must have been Monorca. So, my second season. And yeah, it was gorgeous. I loved it. I love love. It’s Yeah.
