‘Curse Of Oak Island’ Preview: Rick & Marty Find ‘Legendary’ Piece?
The Curse Of Oak Island Season 12 is becoming more interesting as Rick and Marty Lagina put more effort into the money pit. They believe that they’re getting closer to the 200-year-old treasure on the island. The previous episode featured the Lagina brothers investing in a mini-submarine to dive into the depths of Aladdin’s Cave. Things didn’t go their way. But History Channel released a new preview clip featuring Rick and Marty getting their hands on a “legendary” piece. Keep reading to see what happened.
Curse Of Oak Island: Rick & Marty Lagina Continue To Face Setbacks
Rick and Marty have been digging on multiple “lots” for 12 seasons, but they still haven’t had a significant discovery revolving around the long-lost treasure on the island. However, some of the artifacts they have dug up have given them hope. They believe that the Aladdin’s Cave around the money pit is the pathway to a chamber that may contain the treasure. The Curse Of Oak Island stars have found numerous logs and cobblestones, hinting at a possible pathway or structure.
Rick & Marty Found ‘Legendary’ Money Pit Piece?
History Channel recently released a preview clip for the upcoming episode of Curse Of Oak Island Season 12, featuring a new discovery from the team. They excavated a piece on Lot 5 that left the team speechless. Rick was told that the item they had discovered may be the key or even part of the legendary treasure, seemingly indicating that they were now digging in the right spot. Rick said, “It’s 85 years before the discovery of the Money Pit.”
Some scenes also showed Katya Drayton’s metal detector going almost out of control, making the upcoming episode more interesting. It will also feature the continuation of the team’s drilling operations on the money pit. Alex Lagina was also positive about the artifact they found, saying, “That could be a piece of the original Money Pit.”
Curse Of Oak Island: Fans Are Getting Eager
Despite all the discoveries, some fans on social media think things are getting more repetitive this season. They recover from setbacks, only to find pieces of wood. Another discussion also suggests that the team may have been digging in the wrong site, adding that the area was a “left over” land from previous treasure hunters.
One of them was Robert Dunfield, who reportedly dug a 100-foot wide and 140-foot deep hole in the money pit and filled it back in. It may also be the reason why Rick and Marty struggle on how soft the land is. However, it seems the upcoming episode will finally turn the tides of Rick and Marty’s search for the treasure.
The 18th episode of The Curse Of Oak Island Season 12 will air on April 1, 2025, on History Channel. If you are looking for more The Curse Of Oak Island news, come back to TV Shows Ace for all your updates.
