It’s OVER! Oak Island Treasure FINALLY Found at Smith’s Cove!
It’s OVER! Oak Island Treasure FINALLY Found at Smith’s Cove!
Trying to hide the evidence of underground digging. Best place to put it would be in the middle of a wall.
Bill’s going in now. Hold it. They hit somebody at 11 ft. That could be where the treasure is hiding. I detected gold. Wow. 100%. Yeah, this is huge. Well, there you go, guys.
[Music] The team is pushing themselves, hunting for every clue to understand the island’s history and locate its famous treasure. Recently, they found gold in the island’s surrounding waters. And now the Lagginina brothers think there might even be gold in the plants. But what if the solution to all of Oak Island’s puzzles was found just an hour ago?
Before we dive in, brace yourselves. The latest discovery on Oak Island is more shocking than anyone expected. The Curse and Courage. Deep underground, an old handcrafted ladder leading down into a dark water-filled passage shows that people have been exploring the island long before this.
According to local legends, one more person may have to die before the curse guarding the treasure can be broken. Despite this chilling story, the Laggina brothers and their team push on with determination.
At one point, Paul, a member of the crew, shares his excitement about their current location while the camera shows the team setting up to drill in a new spot. Marty Lagginina checks in with the team to see if they’re ready to bring in the drilling rig, and they all give a confident nod. As the drill pierces the earth, the shadows of the past threaten to reveal secrets long buried.
As the next week of exploration begins, Marty talks about how Dr. Spooner and Dr. Fred Michael have found a particularly interesting area based on water sample tests.
“Oh, the water samples are indicating presence of gold. Well, certainly the wood should as well.” With a broad gesture, Marty points to the spot, recalling a previous conversation where the team discussed this development.
During that chat, a light-haired man with glasses spoke passionately about a promising discovery they had made. Tests in the bore holes near the money pit indicate that the treasure could be hidden in a small area about 70 ft x 25 ft west of the garden shaft. The team has named this area “the blob.”
In a flashback, an expert explains how several objects containing certain metals are found in this region. Dr. Spooner along with Dr. Fred Michael have narrowed the search down even further, focusing on a tiny 20 ft x 20 ft area between 80 and 120 ft deep. They jokingly call this new spot “Baby Blob.”
At the moment, everyone is gathered around a map discussing the fascinating details of their latest research area. They suspect there might be a tunnel at a depth of around 95 ft that could lead to their area of interest. This tunnel could either lead them to a breakthrough or set them back.
The crew marks a large orange X on the ground, realizing this could be their best chance to explore several possibilities at once. Marty’s response is straightforward: it’s time to bring in the drilling rig.
The team prepares to start drilling at borehole DN 11.5, hoping to find something valuable, maybe even uncover a tunnel beneath the garden shaft where traces of gold have already been found. Excitement is building as they get closer to what could be the climax of all their hard work. Months of water sampling may soon lead them to the legendary hidden treasure.
Marty is hopeful that they’ll find something significant, even if it’s not the ultimate treasure. However, he keeps a practical mindset, not wanting to get too carried away.
For a brief moment, Marty steps away, and Oak Island historian Charles Barkhouse takes over the operations. But things take a turn when the drilling begins at borehole DN 11.5.
Shortly after, Marty returns with Scott Barlow, Oak Island’s operations manager, and Roger Forton from Duma Contracting Limited to take a closer look at the garden shaft. They’re aiming to dig down to 80 ft, and right now, Roger estimates they are about 60 ft deep.
The Duma team has been clearing out debris and putting in waterproof wooden sections every 8 ft called sets, as they dig deeper, looking for signs of man-made chambers and artifacts.
Marty feels lucky to be able to go down into the garden shaft himself, where he spots an old ladder, a relic from the island’s mysterious past. Inside the shaft, Marty is amazed by the ladder, which seems like a forgotten piece of history from earlier explorers or treasure hunters.
Scott takes a close look at the ladder’s craftsmanship, pointing out that it was built by hand back when there were no modern tools. This old ladder, now seen as an artifact, gets them talking about the person who made it and what he might think of their search for the treasure today.
But this wasn’t the biggest mystery. The question remained: could the person who made that ladder have also hidden a large amount of gold in the shaft? It’s a reasonable theory, especially when you consider how much skill it took to create such a strong ladder and leave it so deep underground.
In a flashback from 3 months ago, the team had drilled a bore hole about 18 ft from the garden shaft and found a large empty space that could be another chamber. Now Scott sees a similar collapse in the garden shaft at the same depth and they wonder if it’s connected to that earlier discovery.
This new finding adds even more anticipation as they keep drilling, eager to discover what secrets are still buried in this historical and puzzling site. The team is full of excitement as they wait eagerly for proof that their theories might be correct.
They are hoping to find a hidden chamber tunnel around… “log there.” “Oh, okay.” “Okay. Right here, that’s wood.” Or even another shaft near the famous garden shaft.
In the money pit area, Charles Barkhouse, the historian, and Terry Matheson, the geologist, are hard at work. They’re carefully watching the drilling of borehole DN 11.5, which has reached between 80 and 120 ft below the surface, where they believe treasure could be hidden.
As they monitor the drill’s progress, Andy, a geoscientist, walks over to check how things are going. Terry tells him they’ve reached a depth between 78 and 88 ft, getting closer to their goal.
Suddenly, a loud grinding noise cuts through the air, causing everyone to look toward the drill. The sound grows louder, so the drill operator quickly stops the machine and checks the drill pipe.
Upon inspecting the pipe, the operator finds there’s an open space about 1.5 ft wide. This means they’ve broken through into an unknown area. Terry looks concerned, worried about what this might mean for the drilling crew.
The operator tells Terry that they’ve hit a void, an empty space about 90 ft down. This could be a big discovery. Charles, Terry, and Andy gather to decide what to do next. They agree to pause the drilling to better understand what they’ve just uncovered.
Charles pulls out his phone to call Rick and Marty Lagina, the brothers who have invested so much time and money into this search. Rick, in a side interview, expresses his excitement about the progress at Borehole DN 11.5, a key area where gold might be hidden.
Rick hurries to the site, joining the team to hear the latest news. Mike, the drill operator, explains how he felt the drill break through something at 90 ft, leading to the empty space. This discovery brings both hope and anxiety. Could they have hit a hidden treasure chamber? Or could the treasure have fallen into the void?
Terry looks at the map, noticing that boreholes DN 11.5, DN 12.5, and DN 13.5 all seem to line up, suggesting a pattern in the ground 94 ft deep. Mike’s discovery at 90 ft might mean they’ve reached the top of a tunnel, which matches findings from other boreholes nearby.
This raises hopes that they’ve tapped into a major underground structure, possibly linked to the Baby Blob area where they found high levels of gold before. But this wasn’t the breakthrough they were hoping for just yet.
The discovery left them wondering what they had really uncovered and if it could lead them closer to the treasure or just more mystery.
Rick explains that the stone wall is unlike anything they’ve seen on Oak Island before. It’s made of large, carefully placed rocks and appears to be quite old. Leair points out some trees growing nearby, noting that they may offer clues about how long the wall has been there. Peter agrees, adding that tree growth and moss patterns suggest the wall has not been disturbed in decades, maybe even centuries.
Curious about the wall’s purpose, the team examines its layout. Rick notes that it doesn’t appear to be a property boundary or a farming wall. Instead, it seems more deliberate—as if it were built to conceal something. As they explore further, Peter finds what looks like an old tool partially buried under the stones. They carefully remove it and examine it together. The tool is rusted but appears to be an old iron spike or chisel, possibly used in early construction or tunneling. This discovery supports their theory that someone may have used the wall to cover up evidence of digging or underground activity.
Back at the war room, the team gathers to discuss what they’ve found. Craig Tester looks over the new photos and notes that the construction style of the wall is similar to other stone structures found on the island. He points out that this could be more evidence of a hidden tunnel system running beneath Oak Island.
Emma Culligan arrives with new analysis results. She confirms that the iron tool found near the wall contains traces of gold and copper. The team is shocked—this is the first time they’ve found a tool with gold residue on it. Emma explains that the presence of copper could suggest that the tool was used near a treasure cache or in a tunnel lined with metallic elements.
Inspired by this news, the team makes a bold decision. They’ll dig beneath the stone wall to see if anything lies hidden underneath. Rick believes that this could be the clue they’ve been waiting for, the one that leads them directly to the treasure.
The next day, the team returns to Lot 26 with excavation equipment. As they begin digging, they uncover more artifacts—old wood fragments, a section of iron chain, and even what appears to be a broken lantern. These items suggest that the area was once a hub of underground activity.
Suddenly, the digging halts when they hit something solid. It’s a flat stone slab, unlike the surrounding rocks. They clear the dirt away and realize it’s a large capstone covering a narrow shaft. Marty arrives and inspects the discovery. He’s both excited and cautious. They decide to bring in a ground-penetrating radar (GPR) team to get a better look before opening the shaft.
As the GPR scan begins, everyone waits anxiously. The data comes back showing a void beneath the slab—possibly a man-made chamber about 10 feet below. The team is electrified. This could be it. They believe this chamber may be connected to the Money Pit or be a separate vault created to hide part of the treasure.
Rick says they’ll return with proper safety gear and excavation tools. They can’t afford to rush this—it might be their biggest breakthrough yet.
As the sun sets over Oak Island, the team stands together, looking down at the mysterious slab. For years, they’ve followed clues, tested theories, and chased legends. Now, with fresh signs of gold, a hidden shaft, and a mysterious stone wall, they feel closer than ever to solving the Oak Island mystery.
And maybe—just maybe—uncovering its long-lost treasure.
After studying the wall that morning, Romky explains that while his work is with trees, he’s always been fascinated by stone and even has experience building walls himself. He points out the way the outer stones are angled inward, which is a method used to strengthen rubble walls. This technique, Romky notes, is similar to those used in old English and Scottish castles.
Romky also mentions that these kinds of walls usually start with a foundation of rough gravel to make them more stable, and he sees similarities with the land they are standing on. This observation makes them wonder about the skill and purpose of whoever built on the island centuries ago, possibly hinting at the type of structures they were trying to build and maybe even where the treasure might be hidden.
Rick then directs their attention to a nearby well. Unlike the others on the island, this one is built differently. Rick remembers that Terry Dvau, a historical expert, once said this well’s construction style dates back centuries and looks like wells found at New Ross, a place about 20 miles north. In a flashback to 2016, the team had inspected New Ross, believing it might have connections to the Knights Templar, who were said to have hidden treasures and relics.
Back in Lot 26, the team talks about the idea that the stone wall could have been built to hide something, like digging or tunneling activities. The carefully arranged stone seemed too deliberate to be random, and they begin to believe this was all part of a plan to keep the work hidden from view. As they discuss this, Rick’s nephew, Peter, jokes that Leairard should find an artifact to back up this new theory.
But this wasn’t the end of the mystery. As exciting as these finds were, there was still so much left unanswered.
The next day, Charles meets with Brandon Vanerho at the Money Pit to check on the latest drilling. Brandon shares that they’re about to start the final drill before moving to the next step in the construction of the shaft. However, soon after they begin, the drill hits something hard at 11 feet. They stop drilling, unsure if it’s just a rock or something more important. The team takes a sample from the spot, hoping to find evidence of human activity. But to their disappointment, the sample doesn’t show any signs of that.
Despite this setback, Charles remains positive. He suggests they simply need to drill deeper to uncover what’s really hiding below the surface.
The following morning, the team gathers under a tent near the Money Pit to review the core samples. Emma Culligan arrives with her results from the first samples taken from the borehole. She shows the team how she can analyze even the smallest pieces of material with her scanning equipment.
Rick notices an item Emma has placed on the table and asks about it. Emma explains that it’s a sample from the wood inside the Garden Shaft, the very same wood they’ve been talking about. But the real surprise comes when Emma reveals her findings: there’s gold in the wood. This discovery proves the team’s theory that the shaft itself could contain traces of treasure.
Everyone is excited, and this new piece of evidence boosts their confidence that they are on the right track. Marty, always focused on details, asks Emma how sure she is about these results. Emma replies that she’s very confident in her tests. As Emma explains that the amount of gold is small but still significant, the team is buzzing with excitement.
Marty notes that even a tiny concentration of gold measured in parts per billion can still be important. The conversation turns to the next steps, and the team discusses how they can test more samples, including water, to confirm the results.
But this wasn’t the final victory. Even with this exciting news, the team knows they’re still only scratching the surface of what might lie beneath. The episode ends on a high note. The team is laughing and celebrating the small but important progress they’ve made. The discovery of gold, even in such tiny amounts, has given them renewed energy for the search. They know the journey is far from over, but with each new piece of evidence, they are one step closer to solving the mystery of Oak Island and finding the treasure they have been seeking for so long.
But what just got discovered in Oak Island that everyone had to evacuate?
Well, let us board the boat to Oak Island, a secret island off the southern coast of Nova Scotia, and see what beautiful insights await us there. The team commanded by the treasure-hunting brothers known as the Lagina brothers have been exploring the island for the elusive wealth for about 10 seasons. As all those who watch The Curse of Oak Island TV show are aware, toward the end of one of these seasons, the team uncovered an incredible discovery that convinced the adventurers that there must be gold on Oak Island.
As you can expect, this put a gust of wind beneath the men’s sails. The team had remained focused on the initial Money Pit region discovered by Daniel McInnes in 1795 when he discovered a circular dip on Oak Island. They accomplished this by excavating the B4C shaft, which is positioned just 5 feet off of Borehole C1 and is claimed to be 90 feet deep in the ground. They did so with bated breath, hoping to make the breakthrough that legions of men had failed to achieve for almost two centuries.
This breakthrough is likely if the team is able to locate the hidden treasure chamber or an adjacent vault that may contain the treasure chest full of gold. Recently, the team made some exciting discoveries in the C1 cluster. This discovery may reveal evidence of forested tunnels dating back to the 15th century. Looking at these elaborate discoveries, one would be left wondering how humans of the time acquired the capacity to construct such structures.
You may also question why they needed such a tunnel. Whatever the answer, the discovery of what appears to be large levels of silver and gold has fueled speculation about the site of the original Money Pit, or at the very least a chamber containing riches. The location of the 90-foot tunnel indicates that the crew is approaching the original Money Pit, and with luck, they will reach the most sought-after spot on the island.
As the excavation continues, the team comes upon some wood boards. However, discovering a huge iron fastener from the 1800s piques the excavator’s attention. However, because of the crude nature of the fastening, this item most likely originated before the discovery of the Money Pit. Along with the fastener, the crew discovered a spike which they expected to examine at some point in the future to determine the historical relevance of this relic.
Unfortunately, the team was forced to take a breather as they approached a blockage at 130 feet in the B4C shaft. Due to time constraints, all excavations on the Money Pit had to be halted for the remainder of the year. Despite this disappointment, the team’s recent findings strengthened their desire to recover the wealth hidden someplace on Oak Island.
Moving forward, the team has been forced to grapple with the Money Pit’s intricate nature, reinforcing their opinion that modern technology must be used to make any headway in their search. The finding of vast quantities of gold and silver beneath the island’s surface spurs the desire to continue searching. As a result, even though they are on hiatus, the team is more determined than ever to accomplish the breakthrough many have coveted for over two centuries.
Over time, the crew proceeded to analyze the spike with the assistance of Carmen Leg, a blacksmithing expert. Leg discovered the spike’s origin dates back to medieval times, and the item was known to be a rock drill after studying it using cutting-edge technology such as C14 testing. He suspected it was linked to a pair of swages discovered by the crew 2 years ago, discovering the spike even more intriguing to those invested in this journey.
When it was discovered that the drill was used to smash boulders back in the day, it opened up an array of options for the team searching for the location of this elusive hiding spot and what might be buried within its inner chambers. Could the surge prove they are getting close to the legendary treasure?
It is probable that the spike and proposed rock drill have enough historical relevance to be linked to the original Money Pit and that they have the ability to provide us with information about the technology and techniques utilized to dig the Money Pit.
Other recent discoveries such as the stone-paved area in the swamp and the ancient stone road have added to the excitement generated by the study of some of Oak Island’s hidden regions. This will allow them to discover more about the individuals who may have established the Money Pit.
Eager to uncover the truth behind such puzzles, the appreciative Lagina brothers remain convinced that they will discover the wealth hidden on the island and thus the dig will continue. At the same time, they also look for critical facts about the island. This might take them all the way back to the end of the 18th century when Daniel McGinnis and his pals dug up the first Money Pit in the hopes of unearthing some of the fortunes concealed by criminals during the golden age of piracy.
However, when they dug deeper into the ground, they discovered more and more planks. As the team descended deeper into the mysterious depths of Oak Island, their excitement grew with each new platform and artifact discovered. However, apprehension set in as they approached a depth of 20 feet, leading them to halt their advance temporarily.
The true heart-stopping moment came about 90 feet later when they came across a fascinating etched stone slab, when they discovered a secret booby trap leading right to the sea. Their confusion changed to wonder and horror.
The team’s drive to uncover Oak Island’s secrets became greater as the mystery deepened and danger lurked, fueled by the excitement of discovery and the unknown. Who could have devised such a lethal trap?
Despite considering how much they were willing to pay to find this treasure, the team regained their courage and continued their quest. As a result, the team uncovered incredible discoveries as they dug deeper into the Money Pit.
When they got to around 90 feet into the ground, they discovered even more evidence of silver and gold. This discovery gave them hope that they were getting closer to the initial Money Pit. If not, they may be near a chamber or vault that contains the treasure that has eluded many for hundreds of years.
These discoveries made adventurers and viewers alike ecstatic, as they got closer to the answer they would have been looking for for millennia. The harrowing discoveries, particularly the deadly booby trap, could not deter these adventurers from continuing their search for gold.
And thanks to other discoveries such as the fastener, the spike, and an abundance of precious metals as they dug deeper, the team was encouraged to continue pushing boundaries as they sought their fortune.
Despite the island’s riddles, which were both exciting and dangerous, the Lagina brothers and their team’s pursuit of answers helped to demonstrate their spirit of exploration.
