MIKE’S HEARTBREAK American Pickers star Mike Wolfe announces beloved mom Rita’s death and says ‘pain and sorrow comes in waves’
MIKE Wolfe is opening up about the devastating loss of his mom, Rita.
The American Pickers star shared that Rita died on Monday night after a battle with cancer.

“The pain and sorrow comes in waves and sometimes it all still doesn’t feel real,” Mike wrote in a heartfelt Instagram post.
The reality star, 61, created and has hosted American Pickers on The History Channel since 2010.
“Everything I have become in my life I owe to her,” Mike wrote.
“God I will miss her but I know she’s in a better place. I love you to the moon and back Mama. I will look for those little moments when you still find ways guide us.”
The History Channel personality added that Rita was surrounded by his brother and sister when she died after a four month battle with cancer.
Mike’s brother, Robbie, has periodically co-hosted American Pickers since longtime host Frank Fritz left the show in 2021.
Frank suffered from a stroke in 2022, leaving unable to return to the show before his death at the age of 58 in 2024.
Robbie also spoke out about his mother’s death in an Instagram post on Wednesday.
“Cancer took you far too soon, but it never took your kindness, your grit, or the way you loved so fiercely,” he wrote.
“Family was always first. Your passion for adventures and your grandchildren.
“I see you in the way we all live, the way we care, and the way we try to be strong when things get hard. We will miss you every single day.”
Robbie also shared several photos of Rita enjoying nature.
“I’m thinking about you more than I can put into words, Mom,” Robbie said.
