Rick Lagina Just Discovered An INSANE Treasure At Lot 5!
Oh, I see that Rick, who—oh, what’s that? His dragon—oh, got a nice piece of pottery! Oh, that’s gorgeous. Look at that! Hopefully, it’s got some decoration, mate. If there’s going to be anywhere, it’d be on that base.
Here’s another one. Oh, that’s a big chunk of pottery, isn’t it? Mhm, some kind of bowl or dish. There’s so much of it. I’m hoping for something very substantial in the garden shaft. This is where the treasure hunt actually begins—from the discovery of an ancient relic that could be linked to the missing treasure that is hidden somewhere on Oak Island, to the different kinds of analysis done to prove that they may have potential to bring the mysteries of Oak Island to an end.
Here’s how Reina just discovered an insane treasure on Lot 5. Looking at the enchanting story surrounding Oak Island and the many men who had traveled there in search of the treasure that is rumored to be hidden, one could actually see a testament to the spirit of exploration that is in each and every one of us as humans. Perhaps that is why the Lagina brothers and their team have managed to captivate many people who are fascinated by The Curse of Oak Island TV show. That is because this is where the Lagina brothers and their determined crew are taking on the treasure-hunting challenge of Oak Island.
Well, they all know that they have a huge task ahead of them. Ever since Daniel McGinnis came across that circular depression in the ground as he explored his home island, there is actually no telling how many people had made their way to the island in search of the treasure that is rumored to be hidden there. After that, at last, just like Daniel McGinnis, who started this whole treasure-hunting frenzy when he dug into that circular depression—which is now known as the original Money Pit—these people will find that it will be a Herculean feat to come away with the treasure.
I see around—wow, look at that! Well, David, you are lucky. Although over the centuries, many of these people may have been aware of where the original Money Pit may be, they have never managed to overcome the many booby traps that were lying in wait for these budding treasure hunters. If it isn’t the elaborate flooding booby traps that have sent many of these treasure hunters home in defeat, it is the elaborate network of wooden tunnels that seem to create too many problems for these treasure hunters. Add in the fact that they aren’t even sure who this treasure may belong to, and you’d find that Rick and Marty Lagina had a lot to do before they fulfilled their childhood dreams of finding the hidden treasure of Oak Island.
That is why, although they may not have found the treasure yet, it was still quite a special occasion when they found certain relics in the area. Perhaps it’s because these may be the clues that The Curse of Oak Island team may need to discover the hidden treasure of Oak Island. One of the most captivating discoveries that was made in the course of The Curse of Oak Island TV show was when Rick and Gary were carrying out a routine exploration of the island in places where they had previously found some coins hidden underneath the Earth. With any luck, they could even find some more coins that may be even older than the ones they had previously found.
“That’s silver, isn’t it? I’m pretty sure it’s silver. It’s quite decorative though, with the top. Yeah, it’s hand-decorated, so on.”
They began the process of searching for the coins by setting some flags up as markers for spots where their metal detectors had previously given them indications that there might be metal objects there. Hopefully, those objects may be the coin that they have been in search of. During their exploration of the area, before long, the pair were excited when they found something of interest in the soil after their metal detectors got to work. Well, the excitement was kind of short-lived because their exciting discovery turned out to be a metal strap instead of the Roman coins they had been hoping to find.
Despite this disappointment, Rick and Gary were still quite excited about their prospect of finding some valuable objects while they were still out there with the help of their metal detectors. Rick and Gary persevered with their exploration exercise. They hoped that if they were able to maintain their focus and determination, it would only be a matter of time before they came across the coins they were looking for. Maybe this could help them find that elusive treasure that is hidden somewhere on Oak Island.
Soon, they came across a muddy metal object that their metal detectors picked up along the way. After some analysis, the pair realized that they were looking at a coin. With any luck, this could actually be the ancient coin that they had been looking for. With this evidence of coins in their palms, all they need now is to find more coins in the area. This may be a good thing because this could be conclusive proof that the hidden treasure of Oak Island may actually be hidden somewhere on this part of the island.
That said, they can’t determine anything until they are able to examine the coin better, and that could only happen when they return to their lab. After some time, Rick and Gary continued to look for ways to connect these artifacts with the original search for the treasure. With any luck, this could help the crew learn some more information about what may have happened on the island many years ago.
Eager to learn more about the coin, the team welcomed Lad and Emma to the group. They too would find themselves impressed by the ancient coin. Fortunately, they also came with some information concerning the coin that they had before them. This information was great for the team because it could help them provide more clues that focused on the history of the island and the treasure hunt that had brought so many people.
It turns out that after carrying out his research and analysis of the artifact, Lad realized that they were holding a lead bag seal—a very old coin. This was a type of seal that was used in the 13th century to seal packages of goods. These seem to be ever-present with those who dealt with packages concerning military goods. This reminded the team of some similar artifacts that they had extracted from that area in the past. Such artifacts may eventually prove their importance, especially the ones that may have been used to protect items of value—items such as the treasure that these guys have been looking for on Oak Island.
Interestingly enough, Lad stated that the artifact, with its cut section, was what helped him identify the bag seal. Great job! Apparently, these bag seals were created with the use of lead circles that were stamped together. Eager to learn a bit more about the artifact, Emma analyzed it with the use of a scanning XRF machine. This machine was used to confirm the fact that there was some in the bag seal. Great! Let’s see whether this could somehow link the GU to the elusive treasure that they say is hidden somewhere on the island.
Well, it looks like the Lagina Brothers will continue to search for treasure until they find it. Although they may have spent a little more than a decade in search of this hidden treasure of Oak Island, it looks like they are not going to give up until they find this treasure. That is probably why they continued with their work.
This takes us to a recent excavation exercise that was carried out in an area believed to be where the original Money Pit may be, as well as other points of interest on the island. This eventually led to a shocking discovery that people are still trying to wrap their heads around. Perhaps it is because it may be conclusive proof of strange human activities on the island.
This takes us back to when Jack Begley, as well as Ellen and Helen Shelton (they’re archaeologists in the group), decided to explore an area on the island known as Lot 26. This was so they could look into the state of a 900-year-old stone well. And then, I was thinking, if you wouldn’t mind scooping up the debris, but we’re going to save it on it as best we can and hopefully find an artifact.
In order to carry out the search for treasure or for some artifacts that may be lying at the bottom of the well, the pair decided to pump the water out of the well so they could easily explore it. Although it may not have been a direct clue to where X marks the spot when it came to the treasure, the team was excited when they realized that the water from the well had traces of silver when they got it analyzed.
That said, the team still had no idea what they may find in the 900-year-old stone well as they set off with the water extraction process. The team realized there was something odd about the well’s structure. They were caught by surprise when they realized that the rocks seemed out of place. Maybe it was the clue that could help them with their treasure-hunting endeavor.
As interesting as this may be for the guys, they had to turn their attention to Emma and Helen, a pair of archaeologists who were looking through some of the debris from the team’s dug-up tunnels and shaft. Interestingly, they found a piece of metal that seemed to look like a nail. That said, it was surely an odd one. For starters, it had a rounded tip, opposed to the pointy and sometimes sharp ones that nails normally have. Apart from that, it looked like it had been bent intentionally. To the team, this meant that the metal object may have been used as a clinch for a hand-wrought nail that was possibly made from iron that may have dated back to the 18th century.
After examining the piece of metal, the archaeologists decided that they should bring the coin to Ryan’s attention. They were sure that he would be excited by this discovery. “To me, it looks hand-wrought. Yeah, so it is a pretty old metal artifact. It could be from the 1700s.” Once they got it to Rick, the team continued trying to trace its origin and purpose. Some of them speculated that it could have something to do with a large sailing vessel.
Understandably, they wanted to be certain about what they were looking at, so they figured that the best thing to do might be to let the artifact undergo further analysis using a CT scanner. That way, they could get some more information about their new discovery.
In order to get this analysis going, Emma and Helen decided to pay a visit to Dr. Chry Bro at St. Mary’s University. Using the scanning electron microscope that was within the University’s lab would be perfect to study the chemical composition of the coin, as well as its age. Upon carrying out this scan, the good doctor informed Emma and Helen that there was an absence of manganese from their artifact. This meant that the guys were right to an extent because the piece of metal was set to predate 1840.
Excited by the results, the team considered how closely they could link the nail-like object to some of the activities of the treasure hunters when they may have been on Lot 26. Thrilled by this information, the pair thanked the scientists at St. Mary’s before they turned their attention to those back on Oak Island.
So there we have it—a nice piece of iron, no manganese. So again, we use that as a marker that it’s pre-1840. Like they were sure their colleagues would be excited about what they had just learned about the piece of metal that they had just analyzed. With any luck, this may actually help them with their treasure-hunting mission.
