Hello everybody.
Video here for today.

This is the no cap recap of The Curse of Oak Island season 13 episode 7 called Walk the Line. Originally aired December 16th, 2025.

If you missed any of my recaps, previous episodes, there’s a link to my Oak Island playlist in the upper right. Let’s get into it.

Previously on The Curse of Oak Island, people have been looking for an incredible treasure for 230 years.

The new bore hole is grid location I-9.5 on the left line of the head and shaft rectangular outline. The last few bore holes have been on boundaries of the solution channel. The I-9.5 bore hole could be drilled as deep as 230 ft.

On lot five, Tany finds a piece of pearlware pottery. And then this Venetian bead, the six bead found in the round feature. L says it’s a possible link to the Knights of Malta. He also says he doesn’t find many beads, so he’s excited when other people find them.

In the research center, Lair shows his 3D model of the new feature with the marker stone found on lot five. He says they have carbon dating in progress of organic matter that was found between rocks in the new feature.

Steve says that building something like it to use as a marker was done by both Romans and Vikings. He further says that there is probably another marker within sight of this one. Based on the alignment of the feature, Steve thinks that it would be along this line.

That line will be walked and is the inspiration for the title, which is also a Johnny Cash song. Steve, Gary, Peter, and Ethan arrive on lot five to do just that the next day.

This is a representation of that line, not necessarily 100% accurate. They will look for another marker and Gary will metal detect along the way.

This first find is an iron strap that has a square hole in it.

In the lab, Emma has completed the analysis of what Peter thought to be a compass, metal detected by Katcha near the shore on L-15. The CT scan shows the movable parts and that the bottom is broken off. She found this as a comparison and dates it to the mid to late 1500s, possibly older.

Rick reminds us that just up the hill from the location of the find were the stone cairns documented by Fred Nolan long ago. Professor Guspani linked the K locations to this star alignment, which members of the team would also see on this huge rock formation as a petroglyph of the same alignment on a field trip to Denmark.

Along the line at the southeast corner of lot 8, Peter spots this boulder. Steve says he doesn’t think it’s a marker because there are no markings on it.

Moving along the line onto lot 27, they find this drilled stone. Narrator Robert Clotworthy reminds us that in 1895, searcher Frederick Blair found a drilled rock just north of the original money pit shaft. Over 40 years later, in 1937, Gilbert Hedden found another drilled stone on a perfect east-west alignment from Blair’s discovery.

Steve says, “Rick found the lot 27 drilled stone and it was surveyed, but they didn’t have anything to tie it to. Now they do. Lot five. Now on lot 28, they’re headed toward the kingdom stone of the tree of life / Nolan’s cross.”

In season one or two, Freemason and researcher Peter Amundson presented to the team the theory of Nolan’s cross having additional boulders around it that when connected form the tree of life. The kingdom stone is at the base of the formation to the southwest.

They dug at that location and found a boulder that was precisely cut in half. The narrator tells us they reburied it since it was such a historic find. I don’t recall if that was shown or told on the show previously based on it being lined up with the drilled stone.

The drilled stone could have been a reference point for building out Nolan’s cross / tree of life. Steve says that usually if there are two or three things that line up, it’s on purpose.

Peter calls his uncle Rick to lot 28 for an update. Steve says since it’s at one of the highest elevations of the island, it could be the basis for everything. He will investigate lines between it and all of the other structures on the island, including the money pit area. He says it’s a big network for him to work with.

The next day, Rick is at the spoils table in the money pit area where borehole I-9.5 is at the solution channel level at 209 ft. Charles gets another hit with the pinpointer, but then it stops beeping—exactly what happened with the core sample on the previous episode.

They call Katcha to metal detect it, and she is able to locate it with her pinpointer. But when she tries to separate it, the beeping stops. She checks the original location again and it starts beeping again.

Cut explains that it’s metal dust in the muck and you get signals when a bunch of it is in close proximity, but then no signal as you separate it, blurring the metal content. They bag it up so that the lab can determine what metal or metals, and in what concentration, is present. They did the same previously with last week’s core sample.

Rick says it could be more proof that there are precious metals in the solution channel under the money pit area just like the water testing.

In an earlier season, diver Tony Sampson also had disappearing metal detector beeps near the eye of the swamp. An expert later told them that Tony likely disturbed the soil, dispersing the metal into amounts too low to be detected.

After six and three-quarter shows in season 13 without any Carmen dating, it’s time to remedy that. Carmen Legg is in the lab to look at the assumed compass and pronounces it a divider, which is a similar engineering tool. He also says it would have been about twice as long as the artifact is at present.

He has seen some French dividers that were from the 1620s, but also in a British journal the same design was defined and dated to 1543. Carmen and Emma think that it was submerged for a long time to account for all of the corrosion.

The possible explanation for why it is no longer submerged is that the Robert Dunfield spoils from his 1965, 100-foot-wide dig are on lot 15 where the divider was found. Marty says the dating means depositor item or flood tunnel construction item.

Next time on an all-new The Curse of Oak Island season 13, episode 8 called Into the Fold, airing Tuesday, December 23rd, 2025. After a new Bobby Dazzler is unearthed on lot 5, the Oak Island team makes a discovery with possible religious implications.

And in January 2026, show titles are: episode 9 is So Close Yet Sonar. After verifying a recent find on lot five to be a sacred religious artifact, the team drills through a surprising discovery deep in the money pit area.

The other three so-far known January episodes:
January 6 – Boulder and Wiser
January 13 – A Knight’s Journey
January 20 – A Fort Knight

No synopsis available for any of those yet.

Recaps of all the aired shows from every season are in my Oak Island playlist. I will be recapping new episodes as they air from December 2025 to May 2026. That playlist is linked at the end of this video, maybe even on the screen now or very soon.

I’ll also be putting out retro recaps of The Secret of Skinwalker Ranch seasons two through four. Seasons one, five, and six, and the first five episodes of season two are already done and are in that Skinwalker Ranch playlist.

Thank you so much for watching.
Please subscribe, like, and comment.
Sante, and of course, Merry Christmas.
