After the Columbia, Tennessee crash with American Pickers star Mike, 61, and his longtime love, 76-year-old Lerone Heads was charged with two counts of vehicular assault, DUI, and failure to yield the right of way, resulting in serious bodily injury.

He was initially released from jail on a $20,000 bond.

The U.S. Sun can exclusively reveal that the suspect was on probation for domestic assault when the terrifying crash occurred.

A local law enforcement source confirmed Lerone was also arrested in October on a probation violation stemming from his arrest in June 2024 on an aggravated domestic assault charge.

He ultimately pleaded guilty to the lesser charge of domestic assault and was subsequently placed on probation.

Main Street Maury initially reported the charges.

LETICIA’S VICTIM IMPACT STATEMENT
In a heart-wrenching series of Instagram Stories, Leticia revealed she has been going through acupuncture to have her facial muscles work again after the horrific September crash.

“It’s been three months and one week since the accident, and I am at 40% of what I used to be,” she said.

“We also had to go to court today, and I got to see the face of the man, if you can call him that, that did this to me.

“It wasn’t our case, but we were there to tell our story, so the judge would revoke his probation.

“The DA and his public defender did an agreement to only revoke half of his probation and gave him time served,” she explained.

“Then we have our case in January…If they find him guilty and charge him with our case, then he could get 15 years, which he means he would be 91 when he gets out,” she pointedly added.

Mike’s longtime girlfriend then revealed part of her victim impact statement that she said she read in court this week.

“The man who hit us did not just make a terrible mistake.

“He has a documented pattern of violent and dangerous behavior. I understand the limitations of what I can say here, so I will simply note that his record shows serious past offenses that are not minor missteps.

“They are warnings, clear warnings, about who he is when he’s given freedom and another chance.

“I am beyond disappointed that I am standing here because of him, but more than that, I am deeply let down by a system that allowed this to happen at all.

“Had he been held accountable in the past, had he not been given repeated opportunities to harm again, I would not be struggling to form words today, I would not be waking up afraid to not I would not be in pain every day.

“I am not asking the court for vengeance. I am asking for protection,” she said she pleaded in court.

She described her debilitating injuries months after the accident.

Leticia claimed: “My face is still partially paralyzed. My eyesight is blurry. Hearing is muffled. Limited with eating and talking and in so so so much pain. They call this the suicide disease, trigeminal neuralgia.

“Intercostal nerve damage in my ribs, it makes it hard to sit upright. Still have a ruptured breast implant, and can’t get it fixed till all the broken bones in my chest are fully healed,” she continued.

“I don’t know all the dental work needed yet, since I can’t open my mouth wide enough to have a dentist look at it, but we know my bite is off and nerves in my teeth are dead,” she concluded, of her horrific injuries she said she sustained in the crash.

In the immediate aftermath of the crash, Mike posted a photo of his vintage Porsche totaled.

He captioned the post “It’s been a rough [night] but now there’s light at the end of the tunnel.

“I truly believe in the power of group prayer thank you to all of you that have sent them to us.”

Mike and Leticia are often in Columbia, Tennessee because of his various businesses.

He owns bike shop Columbia Motor Alley, vacation rental Two Lanes Guesthouse, wine bar Revival, and other properties and businesses.

Earlier this week, American Pickers star Danielle Colby said the show was coming to an end, though production sources told The U.S. Sun there is no truth to her claims.
