Due to American Pickers break until the New Year, viewers who are itching for Mike Wolfe can catch up on episodes they missed or relive beloved episodes from the show’s 26 seasons, such as The Belly Dance and Pinball Mania.

Additionally, if they’re interested, they may view them on a large screen in the recently opened Frank Fritz’s man cave in Savannah, Illinois.

There is a certain amount of repetition in the series.

Even though it has always been entertaining to watch what our daring treasure hunters discover, all through they find something, offer it, get a counter offer, haggle until they agree, and then they’re done.

Therefore, an episode that deviates from the norm usually gets noticed.

This is the case with Cadillac Man, an episode from season 23 in which Wolfe first freaked out when he saw a vintage ’59 Cadillac, and then he fell in love with it.

Mike Wolfe has no qualms about spending a lot of money on vintage motorcycles.

In a $135,000 pick, he spent $135,000, the most ever spent by American Pickers, on five unique motorcycles.

He also has a fondness for four-wheel drive automobiles, and he acquired a 1935 Auburn Phaeton 653 for a pittance of $45,000.

Thus, he would undoubtedly be aware that timeless Cadillacs are so sought after by collectors.

An abandoned California pig farm became a veritable cash mine.

There were Cadillacs everywhere beneath a dilapidated tin roof, their distinctive fins sticking out from the dust and grime that had been blown into the open-sided building for 30 years.

They had their sights set on a 1959 Cadillac Fleetwood that, all things considered, was in fair condition.

Mike and Robbie were negotiating with the man’s daughter because the original owner had passed away.

Regretfully for them, in this instance, the deceased’s relative just wanted to get rid of it.

No, she was aware of the automobile’s value and would show herself to be a quite astute barterer.

Mike offered $6,500, but she started at the high end of $12,000.

She lowered her offer to $10,000, but the antique hunter said that considering the amount of work required to restore the car, they could not go above $8,000 in the process.

It is at that point that Cadillac Man takes a totally different turn.

The woman said, “I’ll tell you what. I’ll flip you for it.”

Robbie snarls.

“I would flip you for $8,000 or $8,500,” citing her father’s long history as a professional gambler as the source of the idea.

Robbie flipped the coin and the woman called it in the air, and the fates were left to choose whether the quarter landed on the Cadillac with heads or tails up.

They hammered out the regulations.

She calls heads.

The coin flips up, and despite not being able to see the coin, it was very clear after hearing the Wolfe boy say, “Son of a b****.”

In the end, Mike and Robbie paid an additional $500 for the Cadillac, for a total of $8,500.

Nevertheless, everyone came away victorious.

The proprietor made a little more money than she had decided on, and Mike and Robbie Wolfe were able to keep the car they wanted.

You shouldn’t worry because they did not win the coin toss.

Without a doubt, they would have made that and more after the restoration was finished.

And considering that Wolfe’s Antique Archaeology pricing are controversial and perhaps higher than they ought to be, they might have made much more.

But you never know what you might be able to take away with a flip of a coin when you come in.

If you’ve ever watched American Pickers, you know Mike Wolfe is no stranger to taking wild chances on rusty gold.

But even longtime fans were stunned during a recent episode when Mike made a shocking gamble, flipping a coin for a rare 1959 Cadillac.

And the result?

Let’s just say the payoff was way bigger than anyone expected.

It started like any other pick.

Mike and his longtime picking partner Danielle Colby were cruising through the back roads of Texas when they got a hot tip about an old barn full of classic cars.

What they didn’t expect was to find one of the most iconic vehicles of the 1950s hiding under a tarp.

The legendary 1959 Cadillac Coupe DeVille, with its sweeping tail fins, gleaming chrome, and retro-futuristic vibe.

The ’59 Caddy is one of the most sought-after classics among collectors.

But this wasn’t just any Cadillac.

According to the owner, it had been in his family for decades and was completely original.

Matching numbers, factory paint, and even the original floor mats.

Mike knew this was a once-in-a-lifetime find.

The only problem?

The owner wasn’t exactly eager to let it go.

After hours of friendly back and forth, the owner was still on the fence.

That’s when Mike, in true American Pickers fashion, made a bold move.

“Let’s flip for it,” he said, holding up a quarter.

“Heads, I take it for $20,000. Tails, I walk away. No hard feelings.”

Mike and Danielle erupted in disbelief.

He had just scored a $100,000 car for only $20,000.

A deal so good, fans immediately flooded social media.
